Scarves Ode to the Twilly

Not sure if this is the right thread but in case anyone is looking for storage solutions, I found some cheap 15-compartment boxes on Amazon (16 dollars for a set 2) that nonetheless works quite well IMO! Fits either vertically or horizontally almost to a T (I think vertically makes it easier to take out & put in). For anyone interested:

I only have 3 twillies but do you think ties would fit too or not wide enough?

@Amka and @art nouveau also shared their storage for twillys here. Though perhaps it should all be shared in the scarf storage thread?

Thanks for your link Meta, gonna head over there.

It'd be helpful for both Twilly club and general storage ref. If @momoc would like to put a link (to her post here) in the scarf storage thread too that would be really helpful.

Unfortunately it’s way too small for ties! It’s basically a precise fit on Twillys. By the way the dividers in the horizontal direction are removable (as seen below) but it’s still very small in all other dimensions so the penguins gonna be squished here:biggrin: (I put my scarf rings in the box too).

I will go cross post in the storage thread (and check out storage ideas for my scarves which definitely need some better solutions!)

That's a shame. My father had a built-in tie rack but DH doesn't. I'm going to research storing H ties (or any ties) because I seem to have quite a few.

Twillies are easy to lose and so are scarf-rings, so it makes sense to have them all together. I need to organise in 2021!

Oops I don’t think I linked it properly and I forgot tPF automatically place links for some of the retailers - try this here:

I see they went up in price a little haha.

FYI I think the sweet spot is that the compartment need to be slightly more than 2 inches in size; there are some that has smaller compartments (only 1+ inch) and those probably won’t fit (a Twilly is 2 inch wide).

Glad to help!
Thank you for this!!

Went and looked ... great idea ... not what I expected for the chaine d ancre rings

What I was expecting was something akin to a toast rack
https://www.amazon.com/Toast-Rack/s?k=Toast+Rack

Some are smaller than others, sized to fit half slices of toast, and that would work even for a shawl ring

Will, have to go work on the idea, I have an old unused sterling toast rack collecting dirt ...

Twilly question:
If you buy a twilly - do you buy one or two (for each handle one)?

I don‘t like the mix of different design on one bag, so I buy all the time 2 twillys (also for a K) in case of I want to put it at my B.
But also at my B - I often use only one twilly. So should I reduce my future twillys purchases to one?

How do you do it?
