What an amazing thread. You ladies look absulutely smashing with your Trims. As much as I love the Birkin, Kelly etc, I need an uncomplicated Hermes bag. I am thinking this might be my Hermes go to bag...but...I need a little tutoring.:smile1:.

Was the original bag .. Jackie O's bag made for her by Hermes or Gucci?. (I absolutely adore this style of bag and I own it in several Gucci versions which I love.)

Thank you VnSoie for the modelling pictures. Thats exactly how I would like the bag to look on me, so I know to look for the 43 with gusset.

You're welcome. Jackie carried a Trim by Hermes, TankerToad has said a 35, Trim I by the pictures. Mine also is a Trim I, no gusset. The 43 is a very unusual size, according to the SAs I've talked to. Good luck! Can't wait to see what you find! There have been a couple of 38 Trim IIs (with gusset) floating around on the market in the last year. A 43 Trim II would be very big and potentially heavy--at least after I got finished filling it up. The 43 Trim I is plenty big enough to hold everything, even traveling.

Would it help to do a "trial pack", to show you how much I can cram into that 43? I used it for a two-week trip to Europe last spring and it held everything from cameras to scarves, purchases and water bottles.

I'd appreciate some opinions from those of you that are familiar with the Trim 1 38
I've an option to buy one from a reseller , it seems to be Box and also seems to be very early as it has a very short strap .
I'm wondering about the look of it when worn, I asked them to send me a photo .
Not sure I'm going to love this one and would love to have a few ideas on it from some of you please !

froufrou - hi dear - this looks like the Trim I - flat version, and I can't speak to the strap - did you get the dimensions from the seller? It looks short and a bit uncomfortable on the person modeling it. You are of slender build though so it could work on you. I tried the non gusseted version in Barenia, and it was very cool, but then I realized that I like a little bit of capacity for my sunglasses and a cosmetic pouch. I think Tanker Toad has a flat Trim and maybe she could chime in on the pros and cons of the Trim I. Box is heavenly, arabesques has a Trim in box, but hers is the gusseted version.

P.S. My Barenia Trim II is a 35 and I adore the size and the way it is balanced. Very light for an H bag.

First off—what does the leather look like? That's my big question with anything box. Second, I have a Trim in chamonix (or matte box), and I really like that feel. Regarding this example, that seems rather large for a bag that is tight on the shoulder. It's hard to be boho and relaxed with that. Plus, you're thin, and while you could carry this is on the shoulder, it likely won't conform to the body. VnSoie has one this size in evergrain, and it looks perfect. Verdict: I think you'll end up needing to try too hard. The Barenia/Toile, meanwhile, is killer fabulous.

Lanit and Arabesques Thankyou both , I really needed other eyes to see what I can't !
Yes this is a big flat bag , that worried me . And once flat ,always flat ..... I was hoping it may morph into Vn Soie's beauty LOL

Do please both post modelling shots of the Trims you mention , I love this thread so much!

Frou Frou,

Hi, dear, haven't been on in so long. This bag to my eyes looks just like mine. Does not look like box at all, appears to be evergrain. The way it has curved back from the middle behind the model's shoulder, the way the leather is reflecting the light, everything about it reminds me of mine. PM me if I can do anything. Also, mine fits very close under my arm in the same way; it is a function of the width of the bag.
