I'm still coveting this bag! I've got my eye on a Trench in evercolor with gold hardware, and would love to know how Roulis lovers enjoy gold vs. silver hardware for this bag. I initially am drawn to silver, but saw one with gold and it is simply stunning. Thoughts from you all here on the thread if your gold hardware is as versatile a combination for daily use. It is truly a classic design. And I know I'd love to have this color and leather combination. Just mulling over the hardware options though I may not have a choice with inventory being so limited on these lovelies.

Oh Lanit, this is stunning! I hope you decide to purchase it. I hesitated on an etain with GHW a few years ago and I am still kicking myself. I think the gold HW adds a gorgeous warm elegance to this bag. It's really beautiful! Good luck deciding!

Can anyone inform as to how to care for evercolor and does it typically ,scratch easily, or if dampness occurs such as a drizzle or fog how it might hold up? I only have evercalf and it feels like swift , and evergrain Bastia that us very hardy.

When I bought mine, the SA (at Sevres) said that it's not as weather resistant as Clemence. I think it scratches more easily than Clemence but it is SO much lighter. Plus I think the scratches can be gently rubbed out.

I would love another bag in evercolor. BTW mine is a mini and transitions perfectly from day to night.

Thank you sea sounds. This information is helpful and I adore the lightness of the leather. I do wonder if trench might be more susceptible to color transfer, it appears a bit deeper than Gris T as a tone, so I think it should be okay.

Lucky love, I love the color and leather very much. Just that gold is very bright and not sure if I can be comfortable for everyday use. I am typically a palladium hardware girl, and I would be more comfortable with a permabrass buckle, but for this leather color, its such a stunning bag.

I have a Maxibox evercolor in craie that I use for travel. It's light and somewhat water-resistant. I worn it a few times in drizzle rain and nothing bad happened - I usually just casually wipe it dry with tissue after like half an hour. The leather doesnt absorb water, it seems. Mine had a few tiny scratches but I rubbed them and wiped them with baby wipes and they look good now.

Must say it does have color transfer issues (mine particularly because craie is very light cream color), especially if one wears jeans. What I typically do is to wipe them really, really hard at the end of each day and the color transferred from jeans can be wiped off (I do this everyday when I use it; not sure if color can still be wiped off if it stays longer tho). The difficult part is the beewax - color doesn't come off no matter how hard I wiped. However my SA informed me that the beewax coloring can be easily fixed if I send the bag for spa treatment. All in all I LOVE evercolor leather - it's light, easy to care and takes color beautifully. Just got another Kelly in evercolor leather!

Lanit my roulis is evercolor too!
I find it really low maintenance and very light! I haven't had any issues with color transfer but maybe it's because mine is a darker color? I love this leather so much! It's for a sheen to it and looks super classy! Plus it's sturdy! I just run any scratches and they go away! Highly recommend!! I have used it in the rain (light drizzling) and nothing has happened to it yet!

Thank you both for your input! I am definitely on the prowl for an evercolor bag or Roulis. I am waiting to see a mini before deciding on size. So thrilled it is light and easy to care for. Now must be patient for inventory to arrive!

Thank you Wen84 [emoji1]
I was hoping that it would be tonal stitching instead
By far, all the Roulis/mini Roulis in regular leather have white stitching (someone please correct me if I'm wrong!). The only exception I've seen is the one that @seasounds has, which has tonal stitching. Perhaps moving forward (F/W2016?) they're switching things up and they'll have tonal stitching.

i actually love the contrast stitching on the roulis. It makes it very interesting and renders it unique to H bags. Though the exception might be the one that seasounds has. I can't wait to try on the mini to see how it might fit my needs. Keeping fingers crossed it will be soon....!

I can finally join this thread!

The mini roulis is just a perfect size bag for those who want a smaller day to evening bag similar to the mini constance. I decided the GHW was too bright for me though I loved the trench, and that the GM size was too similar in size to my other H bags. So here my choice - Mini Roulis Evercolor Vert Anglais. This is quite a departure for me, but after viewing many colors with it, it really is a unique and timeless color that works with so many of my silks and outfits. I will take modeling photos when the light is better. The mini size is terrific and I am 5'5 average build. It is hard to wear cross body, but in a pinch I don't mind the shorter strap for hands free carrying when needed.

It does not have contrast stitching and it is a wonderful rich and modern color. Very architectural in style to me which suits me just great. This thread is so very helpful and I am glad I waited for this size, leather and hardware. This color is very hard to photograph. It appears sometimes like a deep grayish green to a lush green with hints of blue in it. The first and last photo are the more accurate of this color. It is very neutral and easy to work with. I also brought home the fabulous Neo boots to go with it! I never thought I would be interested in a green bag, but this one stole my heart and is a wonderful addition to my wardrobe and accessories.
