Merci! It will be nice to have a little "Sous Le Cedre" retrospective once KG has received hers and posted photos.

^^^^
Yes YOU KallieGirl!
And Toujours Chic too who said she'll then post her photos too.

I know that it probably hasn't even been shipped yet from the seller or is at least en route. Still, antoher lesson for me in Hermes patience!

You must be so excited!

Katel, Thanks for the step by step....the Tohu looks amazing on you!!!

Guccigirl this should take you back to katel's pics.

basically fold the GM on the bias strip, then wrap around your neck so that the middle of the shawl is facing the mirror (front) AND you have a left and right end hanging down. Then weave them in as per pic - lifting one end above the center and sticking the other end through it.

Gah - the pics are much better than my explanation :)

what link? I don't see.

and that was the part I didnt get. When you first wrap it...the middle part is at the front...and the 2 pieces are hanging in the back?

and I don't get the weaving

Let me try to explain the weave ... fold the shawl in a triangle and the fold it in upon itself like you do when folding a scarf to wear.

Take the shawl now and put it on your neck with the two ends going down your back. Take one end and bring it around to the front and put it under the part that was hanging in the front.

Then take the other piece that is hanging in the back and bring it around to the front and go under the piece you just wove in front and over the main part that was in the front at the beginning .... Then adjust it to look the way you want as far as how close to your neck, etc.

Oh dear.... I'm not sure this is making sense!! You may be making it harder than it is.. It is very easy but at first it can be intimidating...

Page 396 of this thread has photos of how to do it....

Oh so sorry, I think if you click on what I quoted it will take you to katel's pics. But the ends, both of them are looped and fall in the front. typically if you just wind it around your neck thus far, both ends are UNDER the middle loop. For the weave knot, you pull one side up towards your chin and above the middle so that there is an opening between that side and the middle, and stick the other end through it.
