I didn't see the horse bit online...is it on the US site?

The smaller one is still on the U.S. site which I just checked for you. It's on page one of scarf rings. I got mine by calling Hermes in King of Prussia, Pa., and only paid $20 for shipping (bought 3 scarf rings including one for GM silk/cashmeres). Here's the number if you are interested:

ah I see it, I overlooked that...I want the large one actually so I'll have to check the stores directly; thanks!

BlkLL- think twice about the big one. It is really much bigger and heavier than the small one. I called it my Hulk Hogan WWE
smackdown belt. I have no hips and the weight of it would just pull down. I had to return it. The think could be used as a weapon.

If you want the big one, call a store and ask for the horse bit in the equestrian section. I got mine after I saw Xiao Xiao's pics - its called the egg butt bit stainless steel for 100 usd. there is one that is more like a D shape that I didn't like as much for 90 usd. I posted pics in action. It is heavy and you need to tighten the scarf alot - I used a plisse -- and I think it helps that I have broad hips for my height -- prevents the belt from slipping down.

Blackladylaw, Andee is right - Irishlass asked me for the dimensions (I couldn;t find my tapemeasure so I used a ruler -- its 10 1/2 inches long; over three inches wide; and I think about 15 ounces of weight; I also took pics of it next to my tank francais watch which is men's size -- it makes it look like a miniature watch -- its roughly the size of handcuffs. . . I wear it resting on oversize belt loops to allow the loops to help "take" some of the weight. I tried it with a GM and decided that a GM is too fragile and cannot knot tightly enough to keep it stationary. Having said that, I really like it, but its certainly not for all people. It also really helps if you have broad hips (like me) to keep it on).

^^Good god, if ms piggy has thunder thighs, what are mine called?

880 thanks for all the info. I have no hips and mommy pouch. While I love the look it won't work for me. Saving a bill. Thank goodness.

Ms. Piggy, Riley Girl - there's no thunder thighs or mommy tummy that I can see -- and I scrutinize your pics with my nose practically against my computer screen :) :):) If you are in H, do try it on with your own scarf. . .The large scale makes me feel like I have a smaller waist if that makes sense. . . I loved XX's pic so much that I just bought it as soon as my SA brought it up. . . I'm only 5'2" by the way (XX is model height and build in comparison), so a shorter person can rock the look. . . Someone also suggested that the bit could be worn outside a coat - I'm going to try that out.
