MaiTai - you are a true gem! Thank you for the photos!

Toujours*Chic - I've never been to a sale. Not good with crowds personally. But after reading your descritpion of the BH sale...oh my! I admire your stamina!

MiaT- It was fun as a "social event" to see old friends who turn up at these sales and to look at what is marked down. But after realizing that I was still looking at spending a lot of money on stuff I was just so-so about and could not adequately inspect for damage, I left empty-handed with no regrets.

Well to be with friends and have a laugh - I'm all for it. (But I'd probably have to have something strong to drink before I got there!...and probably after too!)

I personally am not mad keen about the "S" stamp on a scarf, as I've seen some that are so strong they go through to the other side. But to spend so much money on some things I couldn't properly inspect, I would be heart-sick...then mad at myself to find a snag or run that I hope I would have noticed otherwise...

Yet - I am always intrigued and filled with joy to read of Forum members who get an amazing find at a sale, or a super buy on something they really wanted anyway.

Cheers to all who get through the sales and have wonderful goodies to make it worth the while!

I Need everyones help. After reading and seeing pictures of the shawl, I really want one nos. It will be my first time purchasing the GM shawls. I am looking one with bright orange as main color. I saw the zodiaque in orange. What do all think? please HELP

Just be aware that Hermes orange is VERY "orange". I have a scarf I bought on ebay, and it turned out to be a LOT more "orange" than I expected - have to find just the right thing to wear it with.

If you want a gorgeous orange shawl you can not go wrong with Voyage en Etoffes. This is Kallie Girl's and it is stunning.

I had my SA look for me after Ottavia debuted hers. Madison is not lying to you!! I just have a wonderful SA. :smile1:

Is everyone buying just the black cw???

Here is a list of the Cirque cashmere/silk available at Madison Avenue:

01 - Rouge/Violine/Orange
02 - Noir/Vert D'Eau/Rouge

03 - Terracotta/Vert De Gris/Bois De Rose

I wonder why Madison Avenue alone got these unless it is to test the waters for possible wider distribution at a later date?

I have not seen the Zodiaque in orange but as LiW mentioned, the Etoffes is a great choice as is Mawari from last year (I think it is still in the boutiques). Ex Libris came in a bright orange that was stunning as well. I would contact your nearest boutique and ask them to do a search for what is available.

I also purchased the terracotta shawl. I will take pictures tomorrow. It is very lovely. I would call it a deep beachy pink.

Though I'm generally a Tohu Bohu fan and was not particularly in the market for another cashmere shawl, I lost my mind a little bit at seeing this Carre en Carre in person! Needless to say, my shawl "family" is now larger by one...
