ITA about the Tigre being a "swamper." The Coupons or Marwari pattern is as "big" as I'm willing to go. Also, depending on how it's folded/draped, you lose most of the design.

My first impression was that Coupes is a little retro 60's Pucci-esque, esp. the turquoise one. Not that there is anything wrong with that but I agree, it may be wise to see in person before buying. Also, large designs sometimes "swamp" you when worn. Tigre is a bit of a "swamper".

yay!!! Just wanted to share. SA called and found the Black Tiger & Grey Ex Libris. I could only get one right now.....so after hard deliberation, I got the black Tiger. I can't wait to get it. Will post it here once it comes in.

Thank you thank you. Too bad its not something going on sale. SA said that NONE of the shawls would be going on sale this year. (atleast not at my H) SOOO not fair.
I know- I just read a fabulous reveal where the OP stated there were Mawari (including the rose) and the Cheval Sur Mon Carre (the gris/black/naturel) CS GM at the Paris sale today!! It is really unfair that we here in the US cannot share in the goodies. The BH sale is good if you like RTW and twills but not a whole lot else there usually.

First, Raz, happy belated bday! I am so sorry about the snags in your beautiful Marwari. I think you are right about the second one...that looks awfully difficult to fix. I would come unglued, but as I think about it I realize you should just wear it happily and fold around the blooper. Look it as the first ding in the new car. Yes, it is no longer perfect, but now you can enjoy wearing it without worrying. And it is SUCH a beautiful shawl that no one will notice, they will just be admiring the fab design.

Thank you msp, kashmira and BlueGenes, no I dont think H can fix second snag.
Here are some pics.
First small snag, could just about live with that, but second pic shows really bad snag. I am not sure if it will just get worse if I wear it.

Kashmira, are you still waiting for yours????

Honestly, in my view one can never have too much black in anything. I wear black, mostly all black, nearly every day so shawls with colors and black backgrounds are perfect! The Ex Libris is more of a neutral IMHO and with the large bright print in Marwari and Brazil, the smaller print in POO is a perfect addition! :yahoo:

I have a question for everyone here---is it possible to have too many black background multicolored H GM shawls? I just purchased a circa 2004 black background pierres d' orient GM and am wondering if this is overload---this is in addition to my black Brazil, black marwari, black ex-libris (OK, maybe this is a different category...). what do you all think???

Woo hoo - you have the same bubble gum pink EA that I have. I was lucky enough to get mine through a TPFer and I love it to bits. I never even saw it in the boutiques as it was during my "off H" phase...:graucho:

Here is the other black EA- earlier release. I also found the bubble gum pink EA that was issued at the same time while I was thrashing about in my GM cash stash.

S so true. I about died with the first snag to my Mawari but then just thought, What the Heck? and now wear it more then I might have otherwise. Relax and enjoy!

I hear you, Lyanna Stark. I am very tempted too, especially am looking for one with framboise or pink color. Do you think the pink in Les Coupes is closer to Framboise? It looks like not pale pink.

Yes, actually parts of it are framboise colour, with soft pink and some browns. It is actually a very nice mixture to wear in that it does not over power the person with one loud colour.
