Thank you! Curious about your thoughts on when etoupe doesn’t work but black would, I feel black is more like etoupe in terms of matching shoes out fit etc while gold is like another color?
I feel the same way about etoupe. While it's definitely a year-round color, I often think of it as summer black simply because it's lighter.

Many on this forum have said that it doesn't work well with grey, so perhaps that's the one tone that black would work with better. But, I think that also depends on the shade of grey. I could see it working well with several greys, as well as cool-toned browns that I might not otherwise wear a black bag with. It's definitely a versatile neutral.

I think when your clothing is grey or grey with taupe tendencies, this is the time for an orange bag. Trying to decide if my orange will be an Evie or a Pico.
Haha I had a similar debate, I thgouht about getting an orange pico 18 or evie mini and decided on pico.
And I ended up getting the black evie as versus the gold one.

Sorry I am kind of new here and not familiar with the rules. This was really just a rare moment that I was trying to say orange color might look prettier on picotin than evies, when I was debating which one out of the two to get.

No worries, we try to keep subjects and items separated as possible otherwise every thread will end-up being a hodgepodge. Very often members come back to threads (particularly clubhouse threads) for inspiration and information just on the item in the title.

Congrats on your new bag(s)

Hi all. I have two evies in 29 Clemence. I love them both. The first one was black and since the beginning little bits from the inside would always fleck off and it’s quite obvious eg sticking to white tissues, pale coloured pouches and items etc. I have brought it back to the shop and they said no one has ever said there is this problem. So wondered if it’s just mine but continued using it as it’s fantastic and I just well, flick the black bits off.

I recently started using my other one, in etoupe. It’s lighter so less obvious but also flecks off on certain materials.

Anyone else experienced this?

I never noticed that. On the other hand, I think it’s normal because it’s unfinished leather surface, if it bother you, add an insert to it.

Hi all, apologies if this has been already covered somewhere else - I have a great evie 40 in blue nuit, wanted to add a different (shorter) strap to her as to be able to wear her on the shoulder as a hobo bag, would you have any recommendation? Many thanks

Yes! I only have one and it's a black one purchased directly from the SA at the boutique. The unfinished leather on the inside flaked off ALL the time. I was never warned about this and haven't read about it until your experience. I can only assume this happens but owners rarely point out the negatives of a purchase. It took about a year for all the flakes to finish falling off. It’s annoying when the black flakes stick to everything.

okay!! great to know - I mean, not "great" for us! but "good" to know it's clearly a thing that is for the evie. My black is from H.com and the etoupe from the H shop itself so I have to assume they're both authentic. I also have a mini bought from the boutique but in a very light colour (gris neve) so don't notice that one. And indeed, I searched around these pages and no mention indeed!!
