Hmmm i got in touch with the boutique and they said since it is hand made, this is because of the leather. Totally understandable, but does it look as bad as I think it does? It almost looks like my bag has a pimple they can’t fix it but I’m wondering if I should ask for a replacement.
I don't think that it looks that bad. It looks like it sits a little higher because of the leather grain. Having said that my Etoupe TPM had a stitch that didn't go quite all the way through so it looked like one long stitch. I didn't notice it for a couple weeks. Like someone else said I tend not to scrutinize my bags that closely. But once I noticed it I went a little crazy. I sent it in for repair and it took about 3 months to get it back. But I'm happy that I did.

I bought it from the real real for actually 1000 over retail, but it came with the receipt from the boutique dated August 25th of this year so I’m assuming I could call them.

I don't check every little detail on my bags, but the issue on yours is very noticeable. Just the fact that you paid $1000 over retail is enough of a reason to return to TRR (for me!)

That is such a gorgeous color...to tell the truth, I don't know what I would do.
I certainly would not want to let go of that color bag.

If you return it, would they repair it?
I think I would ask a leather repair shop if they could have a look and see what they say.

So....my brand new TPM has a weird stitch on the front. I hate to give it up for some lengthy repair, does anyone know what to do in this situation? It’s honestly driving me crazy a bit

That's too obvious to ignore. Personally. I wouldn't care how long it took to repair so long as it was done. Covid has meant everything's slower than normal, just be patient. If they're saying it's normal then it sounds like they're they're going to charge. Or, I'd send it back to TRR who should have disclosed this issue.

Dear ladies, I must tell you this story.....
I recently noticed the thread where there was some discussion on the Evelyne in Brique. The color intriqued me and I suddenly thought that the Evie in Brique may be the perfect counterpart to my Evie Etoupe.

Yesterday I checked the Site for the umpteenth time again and there she she was, in Brique! She was delivered this morning and she's so beautiful. A bit of a chameleon. Sometimes more brown/orange and sometimes more red/brown.
Thanks for letting me share.View attachment 4903158

Congratulations!

I've actually passed on bags in this colour but I must say it looks perfect on the Evie and in Clemence. I can imagine it cheering you up all year round.

I agree. I couldn’t ignore that. IMO there’s nothing normal about it. I’m so sorry to say that as I don’t nit pick. It’s beautiful otherwise.

Edit: it looks worse on my phone screen. On my iPad it doesn’t look so bad. Weird!

Gah! Yeah I have become a total bambou addict and was so captivated by the strap that I had to have it (I also had the credits to cover it, so I preferred spending them to get a bag over retail instead of buying it directly from Hermes).
I’m going to see if the store will maybe try to find a replacement because they’re saying I can’t be fixed since it’s because of the leather- which is why I’m not faulting TRR, if Hermès determined that it met their quality control then TRR didn’t really need to note it- and if it were ANYWHERE else on the bag, I’d never notice it haha.
I adore the color and strap, so I wouldn’t return it and run the risk of not being able to find another- so hopefully Hermès can just help swap it out!

thanks so much for the feedback, everyone! I wasn’t totally sure how to process this little flaw since all of my other Hermès bags have been SO flawless!

I never considered the Evelyne before, I'm now a fan thanks to my SA who did some magic and got me my TPM Evelyne in Etoupe with Bleu Indigo strap within a week of just asking about it (he told me I would be waiting for about a year). I'm still in shock because I normally weigh up my purchases for weeks before finally buying the item. Here's my first 'Evie' ❤️IMG_1666.JPG
