I wish I can steal you BN w/ amazone strap. ;)
I want that one so badly... They may not make those multi striped amazone straps any more so I would advise you to grab it while you can. The only versions they’re making now is single color strap that is in different color from the bag only.

I’m so torn!! It would be my first Hermes and I can’t help feel like a “safer” more versatile choice may be better. I wish the spare straps weren’t so expensive. They told me at the store like $1100. I really don’t know what I’ll choose.

Do you happen to know if the plain blue nuit is hard to come by? The SA said she hadn’t had any come through the store since last summer.

Here’s a picture of this season’s TPM colors. There are 2 versions, Bleu Nuit and Bleu Nuit/Indigo. The tri-color amazone strap is from past season and I believe the only Bleu Nuit version in the past season.
I believe the spare strap they’re talking about is new individual strap they sell for bags not specific for Evelyne TPM.

Thanks! This is actually the PM

I need help ladies! I just got my first Hermes as a gift. The Evelyne in Etoupe. Problem is though the color is a great neutral it's not great on me. I need a new strap that will make it pop, either Hermes or not, designer or not, and would love suggestions from the experts on what works with this bag! What do you all think?

Just spoken to Hermes and they want to see my bag. The strap may

Any chance of a mod shot? Why do you think it doesn't look great on you? What colours/clothes do you wear generally?

Sure! I wear mostly black, burgundy, mixed colors in jewel tones. Yellow undertone skin. Dark hair with copper/reddish highlights. Probably b/c of my hair and skin color. I look better in jewel tones. Prefer gold jewelry but like silver as well. It's a little muddy for me. I certainly couldn't wear clothing in that color. But I think with a cool new strap it would be awesome and very neutral.

Honestly, I think this looks great on you. My Etoupe Evie is one of my most used bags. Like you, I wear a lot of black and add in jewel tones with scarves. I would never wear clothes that were similar to Etoupe color because it would totally wash me out. But Etoupe in a bag goes with just about everything I own (with the possible exception of gray).

I think your photos look great with the original strap, but if you want to change the strap, and don’t want to spend big bucks on a designer one from the likes of Fendi, Prada or Valentino, check out Mautto.com. They have good basic straps in a variety of colors. Also, just learned of this Etsy seller from another tPFer. No idea of the quality but the straps look very cool. https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/520464238/handmade-turquoise-purple-lilac-50mm

I kind of like it on you as is and goes well as a neutral contrast to all the gem tones you wear with your clothing - Perhaps, in addition to alternative straps, try adding a bag charm or a twilly to add some fun?
