Ode to the enamels

It all depends on how rough you treat them. The metal edges can be dented and badly scratched and the enamel can get chipped, if not careful. I would never wear one every day. I have had a few for many years that look great.
I wear it every day but alternating them. I put them on when I’m about to leave the house and remove them when home. No issue with chipping of enamel. However, one did warp, I sent it for repair and it’s like new after. H polished the metal edges too.

Apologies if this is the wrong place to ask, but does anyone know if the hinged bracelets are going to be discontinued? I know stock everywhere is low, but my home store (had 1 or 2, but none in my size) and h.com (has 5 of the same style for the last 6 months) are bare. I asked my SA about it, and she said she'd ask at the next store inventory meeting. She did admit to not seeing that the store wasn't getting as many of the hinged bracelets lately.

Just purchased this beautiful Bride de Cour bangle from Hermes at Ala Moana.
I passed on it online a while ago as I thought it looked a little "flat" but when I saw it in person I fell in love!
Pretty surprised the store still had this design, frankly, as it isn't exactly new.

I love how the bangle is subtly painted in 3 colors. There is beige and white in the "belt"
It's hardly noticable but highlights the details of the design.

Hello! I've tried the search function and it didn't give me any useful results, so I hope it isn't an imposition to ask whether anyone knows if the enamel bangles are easily re-platable? Specifically the palladium trimmed ones. I've found a couple on the second hand market that are lovely, but could use a re-plating of the trim, if possible.

I don’t know specifically about re-plating, but I have heard that Hermès is able to replace the entire rim/hardware.

It seems that there isn’t any buzz of hype about Hermes bangles…will anyone give me their 2 cents and their experiences on them?

I’m not taking about the clic clacs.

Does anyone have any? Are they durable? Do they chip and tarnish easily?

Thanks in advance!

I have collected the printed enamels since 2006. (I have 46 of them in various widths.) They are so much fun to collect! I wear mine quite a bit and do notice overtime that the enamel part and the rims can scratch from normal life: accidentally banging them on a table while resting arms...etc. I think the gold rims hold up better than the palladium due to tarnish. Three of mine from the early days of starting my collection show some tarnish on the rims. However, I have not rubbed the rims with a jewelry cloth, so it may help, and I live in Houston where it is humid at times. Other than those 3, I haven't had any tarnish. My SA told me that H can replace the rims, too. In my experience, I have not had any chipping of the enamel. I think they are so beautiful! I am always looking at adding more to my collection, but I am super picky about designs and colors. HAVE FUN and let us know if you purchase any. You can also do a search in the CLUBHOUSE section of this thread to see pictures of what people have purchased. It's called "Ode to the Enamels." Hope this helps!

Hello! I have several, and do tend to be careful when wearing them to avoid dings and scratches to the metal rims. I've not noticed tarnishing, and have never chipped mine, but as noted, I do tend to baby mine. I love the few I've collected!

As @Ladybaga noted, there's a thread devoted to the round enamel bangles. Here's a link, may be helpful for you. :flowers:
