Thanks to those of you who posted the cashmere shawl in the cobalt blue colourway , I was enabled to try it by XiangXiang who said it was a surprise to her that it was so easy to wear .
Way off my normal palette , I admired it but never dreamt it would be good on me . But it was and it has inspired new sartorial ideas for the coming season . How cool is that ?
Hope you don't mind me posting mine as well, but I am so happy and want to share!

that looks stunning on you!! wow! I think you found a great color!! enjoy!

I agree. When I saw pictures for the first time of all the CSMC shawls, I had 3 and later 4 on my list that were must haves for me (and I decided I would pick 2, because I wasn't planning to buy 4 cashmere shawls anyway :p). But now, I lost interest in 3 of them and I only would like to see the Beige IRL. But to find that beige one in Europe, that's a real challenge :graucho:.

the buyer at my store did not order any CSMC shawls!!! I thought I would be happy w/just my 90 but after seeing all of the beautiful pics, I may need to re-think - this design is just fantastic!!

I have been focused on the giant summer twills (kachinas in pale rose + lalbhai in light blue) and now looking for magic kelly + rubans + astologie nouveau...

hmmm, perhaps back to GM shawls!!

I love how members inspire each other towards styles and CWs they wouldn't normally try, it's the beauty of tPF!

frou frou! I am so happy you got this one! It's so easy to wear, isn't it! It not my normal colour palette either but when I saw it in the store, folded in the drawer, I was drawn to it. And when I tried it on, it seemed to lit up! Truly magical! Congrats to you! It looks great on you!

The blue cw is beautiful, congratulations. It seems to be a very "forgiving" scarf, i.e. a scarf with that type of understated elegance and sophistication that can go with anything, and that probably most folks can wear. Although I love the other cw's they just don't work with my CW (joke). I have been so undecided about this scarf; I have not seen any IRL, that I have done nothing, paralyzed. I guess I just need some serious enabling.....................I will keep reading TPF. Congrats again, best, Bonnie

The cw 9 is also stunning and sophisticated; just wish I could wear that cw. Congrats, another beauty.

Part of my prob is "gray" hair, and depending upon what I am doing to accept this change, my hair color(s) change.....................now I am looking for a "body transplant".
Best, Bonnie

palmbeachpink Thanks so much , and I hope you find one, somehow. If pink is your colour the rose/crevette colourway is absolutely gorgeous IRL

lovely Thanks a lot!

millicat Thanks for the lovely comment . Fascinated by your avatar , it is KH isn't it ?

Xiangxiang Loving it , I gave it an outing to a pub opera despite the warm temperatures here . It's going to be difficult wearing anything else .
Thanks again, and wear yours in good health and with much joy.

bjostone Many thanks , and I guess you are right about the colour being forgiving, although having blue eyes and a palish sallow complexion , strong blue can make me look very washed out . Needless to say it's the horseshoes that do it in relieving the mass of blue, and those patches of yellow gold do a great job too ! Do try it if you have the chance, I imagine it would suit your colouring well.

Love, love this ./What an inspired colouring : the grey and gold do wonderful things to one another .
This is the only colourway I haven't seen and tried , I've a feeling it could be love at first sight as these are colours I wear a lot .
A shawl purchase is a major event for me , not to be taken lightly : two the same design would be cataclysmic!
But when will this wonderful design come round again if ever ?
