Yes, I did have a nice holiday, thank you for asking :D. We stayed in a hotel on the beach and the weather was not that bad, so it was great. I must say, I am always happy when I am close to the sea and on the beach, I just love it :beach:.

Lol :graucho:! I hope I can limit myself to just one as I was a bit bad at H. on Tuesday :blushing:.

I stayed at a place called 'Noordwijk aan Zee' in the Netherlands for a few days. The sea in the Netherlands is nothing like the beautiful clear blue sea in some other places, but it's still very nice. They also have beautiful places to make a long walk or make a bike trip. I did spot some rabbits very close to me while I was making one of those bike trips. Very cute! On the boulevard, there are tons of restaurants and not expensive at all. And, if you take a taxi to Leiden, you can take a train there that will bring you to Amsterdam, which isn't that far away from Leiden.

Right, so I *think* what I mean by asymmetric knot is this (sorry to hardcore scarfies if this is the completely wrong terminology that I have been using :p):
Fold the shawl in half, then take two opposite ends on the diagonal and tie a knot (I usually use a scarf ring to secure and adjust it on the sholder).

i found instructions from maitai on the asymmetrical wrap. you can fold and wear it so you don't show horse legs. but even if you position it wrong, because the horse is made of scarves you can't identify them as horse's legs.

Sounds lovely! I´ve been to Amsterdam a few times and I love Haarlem (sp) which is a part of Amsterdam, right? They had lovely little shops and antique stores. Very nice.

Haarlem is lovely too, but Amsterdam is the city that never sleeps :D.

Well, my Birthday is on the 19th of Juli so I decided to spoil myself with some small orange boxes already :graucho:. Didn't bought anything major, but I did end up with some silks and I asked the SA to give me a call if they could get me a gator Kelly Dog in Geranium with ghw. They did have a gator CDC in Geranium with ghw that day, but it was L size so too big for me. Besides, Kelly Dog works better for me ;).

the "beige" (cw12) and the bluish/red (cw10) are for the moment on the H.com (US) website. I just ordered the beige. Not sure it'll work for me, but thank you to all who posted your IRL photos of the various cws. With no store nearby, and as I'm not sure when I'll be traveling to a city that has a store, or what the stock would be when I get there, I figured I could order this, and if the cw washes me out, send it back.

I hope this means they'll be getting some of the other cws too. I have my eye on the 08 Gris/Boutons d'Or/Bronze too. I wish I could compare both IRL at the same time. I suppose I could call the helpful SA who has done phone charge orders for me in the past, to see about getting the 08 if it's anywhere in the US. It's just that the return policy on a phone charge is much more constraining (store credit) than the H.com refund of credit card charge, and it has to get back to the store much sooner. I only do phone charges when I'm sure I want the design and cw. Is that what other people tend to do?
