Welcome to the world of the wonderful CSGMs!!!!
Yours is just WONDERFUL!!!! I should not have seen it (again) as I already own a VERY similar one....
And your Pictures are just perfect!!!
Please stay away from velcro closures, they are worst!!!!
Also zippers might damage your beloved Shawl, but not all...
If you Keep this in mind the CSGMs are just wonderful and I have never had problems in rain or with snow so far!!!!!

Sending many thanks, katika76 for your sweet comments! I love yours in the pale blue colorway, as well, so watery, and lovely. :smile1:

Thank you so much for the care tips. I cringed when you mentioned velco! I'll now not allow it within a 10 foot radius of my shawl! And likely will avoid zippers for now, too!

Dropping in for a moment to post photos of my Mors Remix.
I finally had a chance to play with it!

I also posted these in the SS14 thread, but wanted to share with cashmere fans, too! ;)

This being my first CSGM, I'm a bit afraid of hurting it! :wondering
Please share your tips, on preventing mishaps with them!

etoile de mer, you look fabulous! Such a perfect cw on you, a great first (of many :graucho: ) shawl!
As for mishaps... to add to the list, but not invoke paranoia, I always drape my shawls over seat belts to prevent rubbing and watch out for the claws on my engagement ring 💍

Beautiful my friend. Love it on white--so fresh and clean. I have no tips--I swear, if I feel rough for a second, nothing. Then, I find a snag and can't imagine how I did it.

Of course - I'm at work, and I only have one, but I'd be happy to take more if you'd like. I can't decide if I'm going to keep it, especially if there's a green/purple :heart:.

Gorgeous...looks like candy to me.

Thank you so much, BritAbroad! And many thanks for the tips, so helpful to know what to avoid! If mishaps happen, I'll be seeking your superlative repair advice! ;)

Dear sparkle, thank you! Maybe it gets easier, after the first dreaded snag! :sweatdrop:

Hopefully no repairs needed in your future, hun, but I'm here for you if needed
Enjoy your new piece of shawl heaven, don't let fear of damage remotely hamper the pure joy of having such beauty around your neck!

 Thank you BritAbroad, and such good advice!

Wonderful MetG remix! The colors are perfect for your style. Did you also try on Leila? I am trying to decide between those two designs for my one GM.
I once pulled a thread on a GM with a three-ring binder I was holding in front of me. Also the staying away from Velcro is a good idea and I rarely wear earrings with my shawls/scarves.

Oh etoile, MOrs Remix in this cw just so perfect for your first CSGM, congrats! My recommendation is that you wear it in good health and that you not worry about the little things. It will pill to a greater or lesser degree depending on how much friction you subject it to; or you may get a drop of coffee or tea on it, but I'm in the 'it's meant to be enjoyed' camp. You will want to be mindful of spikey jewelry, and velcro and zippers as Katika mentioned, but this is all common sense of which you have an abundance I'm sure :flowers:. Enjoy!

It's beautiful - it's creamy white. I'm also really in love with this shawl. I'm just concerned that it might be too similar in color to my kimonos.

Oh I love this cw, A!! I have been strongly considering it (while staying as far away from a boutique as I can)...Please post a mod pic if you get a chance dear!!!!

dear etoile,
you and your shawl are a beautiful duet. and that brit chic is super clever in many, many ways; you also received great advise from those "in the know". my minor contribution will be to tell you about my mishaps with "baseball" caps which I wear with regularity (too many bad hair days). It took me several painful mishaps resulting in ugly pulls to realize that the velcro at the back of the cap (this adjusts the size of the hat to fit your head) hit my shawl where it lay on my neck! now I know. wear you beauty with your beauty!

Never thought of baseball hats causing a pull in a GM ~ that would be horrifying!
I am super careful with my GMs and don't even wear necklaces with them.
