You look gorgeous in your shawl and who can even see the jacket? Lovely my dear!

I'm so off topic, Lisa, but I love that coat on you .

lisa, almost missed these pics! Your CDC GM looks fantastic, especially in that CW and I love it with your CDC GHW. :flowers:

Chestnutty and Vig, I wear a jacket and CDC every day of my life---so happy you approve. :hugs:

Oh Shawlys, thank you for the GM love. Now you know I could not wear King Tiger out today. He isn't even marinated yet. But my CDC shawl came out of his box to play for the first time. This is a record for me---I have had this piece for only a month and I am wearing it. I know this was not a favorite amongst the silkies but I love it. I am kinda a lover of "drab." And I like bigger movement in my pieces. They work better on my larger frame I think.

Drab? Well hunny if THATS drab... I'll be drab all day too!!! Lovely!!!

This looks amazing on you, congratualtions! Laughing out loud here, PoliticalGal, I was in the same situation exactly - saw it in person, tried it on and fell in love. I almost never wear red either but as you said, the beiges and other light colors really lift it. Enjoy!

Whoa whoa whoa!!! You need to do red more often!!! Love it!!!

Pierina, you look like a highly anticipated messenger of spring. Your linen blouse, the slightly gathered sleeves, the toolbox and scarf have so brightened my day :smile1: As have my many little bird friends on the feeder today.

Thank you Maedi, I know I posted this picture on the AW '13 thread but it's so funny that PoliticalGal and I both were so taken by this shawl in person in spite of its color. What birds were at your feeder this morning? Over the weekend when it was very chilly here I was out for a bike ride and saw three large birds standing within 10' of each other in a pool of water - a wood stork, a great blue heron and a roseate spoonbill. Normally they're never ever that close, but I think they were keeping their legs warm in the water as it must have been warmer than the 45F air temp.

sparklelisab - That gorgy CDC shawl is not drab at all! It looks superb on you. :D

Pierina, that must have been a beautiful sight. And an early morning bike ride - respect! I had Juncos, red-winged Blackbirds, a jay and a variety of little sparrows. Also, one Bluebird - not at the feeder but on the fence post. A rare visitor. I love the red Fleurs on you. Wore my grey 90 cm silk today and enjoy it very much.

I love this one on you. You wear neutrals so well.

Thank you! This is a great neutral, but I'm loving the current crop of colors as well (hello fleurs!)

So pretty on you! This is one of my most worn shawls, such a perfect neutral.

Thanks, Twinnie! Isn't this one just so easy to wear?

Argh, you're killing me! You had/have this in Prune too right? I had forgotten about this shawl and now I'm wanting it all over again.... the enabling never ends!

Haha, in a temporary moment of insanity, I purchased two! They were slightly different and I justified by saying I might need a back-up...

Fortunately, I have had good karma with my GMs, so no backups have been necessary.
No more doubling up for me, It would be quite a hefty bill to hoard backups for all of my shawls! I often purchase multiples of shirts or sweaters, out of fear that the cut or style will be discontinued, but it would be insanity to attempt that with H!
