How fun! Here's my collection (I'm missing a couple though).

I remember my first like it was yesterday. I was living in Munich at the time and H was just around the corner and was the store I 'cut my teeth' on. I remember long talks with my DH on the way back home, saying things like "OMG, I could never spend that much on a scarf! That's just crazy!!" "How can they justify charging so much for a scarf!!"

Then it became "well, maybe just one to see what the fuss is about..."

And then BAM!...I had a collection!!

Just like that, I'm discussing how "I really need this one to fill a hole..."

Fabulous collection!!! What are the two all the way on the left in photo one?

I want that blue kachinas but I think it would be bad for me to get 5 cashmeres in one season. I even passed it up at duty free at a discount trying to be good.[emoji22] being good gets you nowhere. [emoji12]

Oh thank you![emoji4] The 2 on the left are Caducée Rock 100 cm from the men's line. Same designer of the CLF. I love these to bits, as you may see some "fuzzies" in the pics. [emoji39]

I'm gonna tell it to you straight...I think you need that Kachinas!![emoji12] This was/is an exceptional year in H design and I think there have been many grails made. The Kachinas IMHO will be one of them.

But, I can completely sympathize with you, as I'm trying to stay strong and not get the grey Dallet. I KNOW I'm making a huge mistake not buying it!!!! But, I wound up with 3 big bag purchases in a very short time, including my SO that came in 3 months!!! I was not at all planning for that and had to pluck my money tree clean to get it![emoji30]

PS-shhhhh! I bought 6 this year, so you're better than me!! [emoji15][emoji6][emoji849]

Oh I love the aubergine one. Geez. Now that's two more that I really want. [emoji15] ok but your story about your special order coming in three months gives me a dose of reality. I just bought two Kelly's and placed a special for my last bag- really this time for sure[emoji23]- and I'm not expecting it for 6-12 months but who knows. So I had better be good for a while and hope a few of these things are still available.

I don't know if any of my cashmeres this season will be grails. I chose rather sedate but highly wearable designs this season. Maybe the dallet.

Oh wow!! Great news about you're SO!!! Big congrats and hope it will come in time for your birthday!?

I think you made wonderful choices! This was a great year to pick up some more subdued designs.

Also, just a little fun guessing game about the possibility of future trails from this year. I didn't mean it as if I'm some sort of authority on the matter!!!! [emoji5] I still have much to learn from you wonderful ladies!

:hugs:I took a pic for another thread cannot remember which... Here is an updated one my fellow shawlies, i tend to buy multiple cws of designs i love!

I would like to join the party. It doesn't happen else where that I get to confess my obsession of getting multiple CWs for a design I like. A compulsion only you scarfies will understand.

I'm still waiting for my Dans l'Atelier de Robert Dallet in gray and am looking around for a black CSGM. Black is challenging for me but missing a black seems incomplete for a collection. Zenobie in black and gold might be a good candidate, but it's hard to say before trying it on.

Absolutely gorgeous and so varied too! Dear cavalla I am so happy and honored to be twins with you on quite a few of these designs. I can't wait for you to get the gray dallet. I hope you will consider the Zenobie in black and gold. It's my absolute favorite after my Marwari.

Beautiful! I can totally relate to you on how the love for CSGMs started. I had the same reaction when I first got to know how much these shawls sold for and I was like H is nuts to charge that much and I used to wonder who paid so much for these shawls... Fast forward I am 'one' of 'those' people [emoji23]... You have a great collection!

Thank you eternallove4bag! It is paperoles... Love the way it ties and really regret not getting the off white one!

Thank you Croisette! Cant wait to see your next purchase

Thank you dear! I am a big sucker for all things blue too and find it hard to say no to blue shawls haha. I stack the shawls on top of each other, in 4 stacks according to color, pretty much similar to the photo and place them in a drawer. i normally purchase the shawls without the box, dont quite like the smell of the box and paper...

Thank you jayjay77!

Thank you cavalla! The mars is one of my faves too! Dont usually wear green but i love green in shawls.

Thank you so much GNIPPOHS [emoji173]️... That shawl is exquisite! I hope one day this gets reissued!

So true so true! I was looking at something to do with crafts 8-10 years ago and someone wrote an article about what to do with all the Hermes ribbon they had lying around. And I thought, why the heck would anyone have all that ribbon? Now I'm buried in it. [emoji23][emoji23]

Hahaha! Me too! And I couldn't imagine what people did with those orange boxes like why wouldn't they just throw them out and keep the contents? Now I know because now I am an orange box hoarder [emoji15][emoji23]

PbP, I would love to know what to do with that ribbon! I have just thrown out loads of bags and ribbons from my favourite jeweller but can't bring myself to throw out my H ones. Daft, I know.
Eternallove4bag, I have absolutely no choice about whether or not to keep my boxes. I only have a small family of scarves, 3 CSGMs, 5 nineties and one vintage ninety, as I only got into my scarves in April, but I am absolutely terrified that moths get into them. We are never infested but do get the odd one in our drawers that always seem to love the finer fabrics (and once destroyed my husband's kilt). So, into each box goes one little anti-moth sachet as soon as my scarf arrives but I hate the smell and it sticks to the silk more than any perfume. I wish H could do a range of self-adhesive cedar liners, just sized right to stick into the inside of the box lids. The little balls seem useless. I can only dream of having a nice collection laid out in a drawer, just waiting to be chosen each morning!!!

You have a beautiful and quite varied collection. [emoji7][emoji7][emoji7]

Thank you for the sweet comments. You have inspired me a lot lately about your philosophy and analysis about what a wardrobe you want and what your preference should be. Buying whatever attracts you is joyful, but knowing what a wardrobe fits and compliments you and build around it is wise. Even just for the sake of time saving in mornings. I want to thank you for sharing your thinking process.

Very nice cavalla! You are right... only fellow tpfers can understand the shawl bug :giggle: Initially i thought the dallet wont work on me but i ended up getting 2! I got the gray Dallet too, you will love it, it goes with everything!

I know!! I've been hearing only good things about that gray Dallet. I just hope I'll get it very soon!!
