Actually, what PbP did was figure out an easier way of doing this:

She lays the scarf on the bed folded in half in a rectangle. Then bring one of the lower corners over diagonally and pull the side so that you end up with two triangle ends. I am really describing this badly and she had to show it to me a few times before I finally got it. But just play with it until you end up with what looks like a straight line on top, with two triangles pointing down. Then you grab the fabric in the center and put it around your neck and tie it. From there, the KQ knot involves pulling on all the little corners once you've tied it around your neck, and just having fun with it.
