Great thread!

Let me just drag up some info and compile it here.

- The 70cm x 70cm vintage scarf was first issued in F/W 07.
- It is made of 100% silk. The silk is processed in a different way to make it lighter and softer, and to give a vintage feel.

Oh yes, Hermes had also issued a series of 70cm x 70cm cotton and glam scarves.

There are also versions of 70x70 cotton scarves with a little metal charm attached to a corner of the scarf.

I thought I'd better include this info here as the thread is about all 70x70.

Lyanna! THANK YOU for all that info! It appears that I should have "discovered" Hermes in 2007 - 3 of my favorite designs from that year! (Well maybe 6 - I gotta check out those other 3.)

Vanmiracle what a collection!

Thanks everyone for sharing their photos - gorgeous scarves!

Vanmiracle: gorgeous collection of 70cm scarves.

Lyanna Stark: thanks for the information!

SuiteSixteen: thanks. it does sort of like a b&w scarf, never thought of it that way.
your H en Voyage is lovely too.

irishlass: same with you, should have discovered 70cm earlier.
