keekeee, i think what you should consider is that this is NOT a workhorse bag. it is a special event bag where you do HAVE to take care of the leather. i guess it boils down to how you intend to use it. if you are too afraid to use it and are not someone who likes to baby her bag, then you need to seriously reconsider.
but it is gorgeous. let me just blow it up for everyone to admire again!

Lizard is very delicate. I have bags, shoes, jewelry, and small leather goods in lizard skin, and they are definitely more fragile than other skins. Croc, gator, and ostrich have been more durable for me than lizard.
There was a thread over a year ago about a problem that one of the people on the forum was having with the lizard on her Birkin rippling. At the time, neither of my lizard birkins were having this problem, but I noticed last week that my ombre bag had started to ripple a bit. I do not consider it a problem because it doesn't really bother me. It has nothing to do with how the bag is stored or the humidity, because I store everything very carefully, and I live in a very dry climate. I honestly think this is just part of owning lizard. I would never ask Hermes to fix it because I know they would never be able to replace the skin properly (and especially after their disastrous handling of my gator Kelly wallet problem).
I use two Vision agendas in lizard in my bags. The lizard rubs up against other items in my bag, and it shows wear. Once again, this is something I can live with because I know that it is a very delicate skin.
Here is a photo I took last week of my ombre bag. You can see the rippling of the skin going down the center. The lizard on hermes bags is very rigid, so I can understand why this happens. I have a Bottega lizard and tejus skin bag, and their lizard is much more supple and durable.
I think the Terre lizard bag is absolutely gorgeous. I think that as long as you understand that it is not a "workhorse" bag, it would be a gorgeous addition to any collection.
