Birkin 30 Lagoon Swift Phw

I scoured the whole thread looking to know more about H swift -- after spa. I am twins with Mrs Rance. My absolutely gorgeous holy grail I found battered, with pocket indentations at the front and the swift leather scratchy to the touch all over, and the handles with dark marks so I sent it to spa. I finally got it back after months but it feels the same texture to me.

My question is: any way to treat the bag by myself to somehow smoothen it? How do I get rid of the dark marks at the handle? I do love the bag and the sheen is just unbelievable, almost liquid!

Thanks Swift lovers!

Hi lovelies. Anyone have any experience/insight they can share with me about swift birkins in the light neutral colours? Im thinking of buying either a swift birkin 30 in Argile PHW or Parchemin GHW. Im curious to know how these really light colours go on swift leather for wear and tear etc. I dont really want to baby my bag too much i love looking after my bags but you know accidents happen; and i have read a few here and seems everyone was really happy with how their swift leather held up after those accidents but im wondering if the light colours may not fair so well if they were caught in such accidents :confused1::confused1:

I am planning to get a constance compact wallet in swift leather. I am scared because it may be prone to scratches since its inside the bag. Can you give an advise how yours are holding up?

Thanks in advance!

Hi PurseOnFleek! I'm new to loving swift I got my B25 just this July but so far so good. It has been my go to bag this year. Mine is a beautiful blue- sainty cyr. It is light colored so I was worried about the handles so I got twillies to cover it with. So far no issues with wear. Any dark mark i just wipe it down and its gone. I usually don't baby bags but I've brought this bag even with my nephews ages 2 and 3 in tow. I am so in love with this leather and I am considering a kelly this time. HTH!

Here's a pic for reference

Such a beautiful bag and colour. How cute is that rodeo charm on that colour too!

I got offered a SO for a Birkin 35 in Swift Etoupe. Got lucky as I could not make it in time to the store that my SA placed the order. Based on our Diskussion about leather and coulor he chose swift in etoupe with bleu pabon (?) Interieur and Silver hardware.
Now I am a little bit worried if the bag would be durable, since I wanted to use it for work and also quite often for travelling. It is very lightweight which is something I requested but.
What Do you think? How sensitive is swift and how does it age?

Thanks a lot and why am i always worried? :-(

Congrats on your SO, how exciting!!! In the Hermès Clubhouse you will find a tread "Ode to swift" that you might find useful. A lot of pics and comments about the leather. Personally I love swift but only in small or less structured bags like the Lindy. I recently bought a black B25 in this gorgeous buttery soft leather. A B35 will definitely become more relaxed but still look good. There are many tPFers who love this leather and have more experience, so I hope they will chime in.

Like serva1, I only like swift in small bags like the b25, Constance or the lindy as it is meant to be slouchy. I personally won't take a B35 in a swift as I prefer more structure in a B or K. Swift does take colors very well though.
Epsom is also light weight but a much stiffer material.

Dear all,

how to you think that Swift is aging? I want to Use my SW Birkin kind of as a workhorse and want to know if this makes sense or if I should go for an additional Togo Birkin?
Is there a way to keep a 35 Swift Birkin gorgeous?

Thanks a lot!

Anyone? I have a swift KP but I use it only for evenings and very gently. I am considering a bag in this leather but would like someone who has a swift bag that they have really used for at least a year to weigh in with how it wears.

i don't own any b35 in swift - but i have seen a b35 in swift that's about 8 years old. the owner uses it a lot and it still looks amazing. we were chatting in the store and she let me hold her swift b35. it wasn't as floppy as i expected it to be. it slouched a little but nothing like the puddle of a bag that i have seen in some clemence bags

i did own a KP in swift and it was rather hardy. it was scratched many times by my constance belt buckle but it just disappears when i rub it. i didn't keep it because it wasn't a practical bag for me...

my b25s in swift are quite new but I have an orange k25 that's 6 years old that I have used often whilst travelling. i don't baby it and have dropped it on gravel road filled with loose stones when i tripped and fell! my knees fared a lot worse than the K. the K had a nick in one corner that's all which isn't noticeable unless one looked very closely. i was quite surprised. i love the luminous sheen and feel on my swift bags..oh, i also have lindys and jiges in swift and ordered an SO in swift too! i have never found it to be a delicate leather. quite the contrary. hth

Thank you SO much, Chincac. [emoji254][emoji8][emoji41] I really appreciate your telling me all this. Sounds like you're a fan of swift!

That second 25B my old home store ordered for me in Rose Azalee - I'm pretty sure it's going to be swift. I haven't seen it in any other leather so I am assuming. I feel so much more comfortable with Togo but if swift fares well on a daily-use bag then I'm fine with some variety.

If anyone has spa experiences with swift, please chime in!

I don't have a B or K in swift but I do have a Berline 28 in swift which I've just sent in for spa. The bag is holding fine, in fact better than expected, since I use it as a travelling bag and I don't baby my bags.

The only thing I have to grumble about is that it seems to be more prone to color transfer than say Togo or Clemence. I'm praying that the spa will be able to do something about the denim color transfer on the back of my Berline [emoji1374]
