Sorry to miss so many pages of this thread: work's been really busy of late. (Funny how work always seems to get in the way of Life, doesn't it?) Posting pics of my two Galop necklaces, MM and GM. Between the two, the MM is easier to wear but the GM...wow, that definitely has my heart.

I'm about 5' 4" FYI. Now to go catch up on the rest of this amazing thread!
Edit: wow, everyone's silver pieces are amazing. Congratulations on your GM Lanit: looks gorgeous on you. In fact, everyone's silver pieces look incredible. Sorry I can't stop to credit everyone individually...I'm running off to take the kids swimming!
Plum - thank you for your fabulous comparison photos! They both look amazing on you; how do you choose which one to wear? Wow - I think it is a more difficult choice when you can wear both equally well. And thank you for your compliment. If I have only one, I love the GM for me sine I favor long necklaces in general. But the fandarole is versatile to loop around the wrist and a couple of times at the neck so I feel I have two of H's most special necklaces.

Chincac
- congrats sweets - the 120 is the perfect length. Love this size the best too - high fives twin. I usually avoid wearing necklaces with my GMs because of potential snags, but if you do wear them together, maybe try the shawl draped open on the front and the shawl folded flat or triangle just on the shoulders?I remember a photo of Robee wearing both and she looked great in her ensemble. Another idea is trying the fandarole as a belt.

thank you dear lanit for your advice! will try that..

Love the farandole + shawl chincac, but ultimately it's what you're comfortable with. Maybe if you loop the 120 twice, it might make for a nice look too? Farandoles are really useful: I've wrapped them around 90cm carres to make necklaces, used them as bag straps. Enjoy your lovely necklace!

plumtree, agree i have to be comfortable with it..farandole & shawl it is :smile1: will definitely try out your suggestions too..

Wonderful comparison snaps, plumtree, so very helpful! Thanks so much for posting! :smile1:

you have an amazing silver collection plumtree..i finally succumb to the silver temptation..120cm farandole..such a versatile piece! do you think wearing it with the shawl is too much? i kinda like it but wasn't too sure..went out without wearing the farandole!

Hi chincac! You already know I'm a big fan of the Farandole! :smile1: Perhaps for visual balance, wearing the shawl tight around the neck, and the necklace worn long...or shawl worn long (simply folded, draped around the neck, with ends hanging long and loose in front) and necklace worn short, or long would work, too. It's hard to go wrong with a CSGM and a Farandole! ;) Enjoy your new beauty!

thank you etoile de mer..really appreciate the suggestions, will play around more with the farandole..:smile1:

Another Galop fan here.

(Sorry for the dry hands - I must remember to use hand cream!)

Amazing, cool but classic and on such beautiful hands

You gals have been very patient...here we go a-galloping...:speedy: Sorry - I am just wearing my basic uniform for work - black and white always seem right! Hey that rhymes! Not sure if it helps with the 'hills' but I probably out to run for them when DH gets the bill for it LOL :D

The perfect statement piece on you Lanit, I love it so much, I totally green with envy. I couldn't do the necklace because I've a huge tendency to suffer from migraines brought on by a combination of things, including sometimes neck jewellery, so scarves are usually my neck jewellery. On you it's even harder to resist (and happy belated birthday from me too)

Plumtree the PM version also looks divine and totally fitting but I have to say you look very good in either size.

Thanks for all the wonderful enabling. Waiting for the right size horsey ring (or PM bracelet, if I ever get to see one IRL) and dreaming of joining the Gallop club soon :graucho:

My SA showed me these silver pieces recently and I fell in love!! Not sure of the name but I got both the necklace and bracelet, though the bracelet had to be sent back to Paris to shorten it to fit my toothpick wrists. Hopefully I would be able to receive it sooon :p

Love it! Another amazing statement piece, so very H :D

Gorgeous chincac! You always look fabulous but I love the long farandole alone. It really takes the stage alone. Doubling it might be a good look for balance. Model please. :-)

Fig, your ring is beautiful.

Lanit, this is superb on you, especially with the dressy color-blocked top. So happy for you!

Thank you to all, bluebichonfrise, lanit, etoile etc. for sharing your information.
I am tall, my neck is not thin so it seems the GM would be the better option but then it is too expensive for me at this point. Too bad H is relentlessly tempting.

Maedi, have you thought about the ring for you? Long fingers, Chanel polish??? You could wear it everyday of course....

PT - sorry to read about your migraines and neck jewelry! Had no idea! Does it have to be a certain weight? Though this one is weightier than fandarole, I am getting used to it. I do tend to like lighter pieces like my horn pendants, but there is gravitas to the Galop. Think the bracelet or ring would be fantastic choices for you my friend. And thank you for belated bd greetings. :hugs:

Maedi - Its great you love your Fandarole so much. I just started wearing mine again too.

Someone asked me about the thickness of the chain between the Galop MM and GM. Here's a size comparison. The GM chain is definitely more substantial.
plum, thanks for this. Is the medium secured/welded on the loop ring to avoid sliding like the GM? I didn't get that close of a look as my SA was handling and securing it on me.

Yes it is.

A couple more pieces to share. I love the Yachting GM bracelet with ebony chaine d'ancre. I love wood and love the wood/silver combination.
And Stalle bracelet, MM, standard size
