The hole closest to the chain is what I meant. I called that the first hole.

It's odd. There are two holes that you can use -- in the hole closest to the chain you can at least wear it but you completely lose the "belt" look as modeled so beautifully by Plumtree and Valmont. In the other hole you can't put the strap under the keeper at all, so it would easily fall off. And it just came to me from H.com!

Sometimes things like cuffs that are H silver should fit me but are way too small.

Can you try on a larger size or get some advice from a local silversmith?

I honestly think it's just a design flaw. The bracelet is not too small -- in fact I would probably have a link removed to wear it. But if you look at Plumtree and Valmont's modeling pics you can see that on their bracelets the hole further from the chain is right at the keeper -- on mine, it is nowhere near the keeper. Another chapter in the never-ending mysteries of H!!

Hello! I am sorry if someone has asked this before, but how can I find out what size ring to order? I don't know my us size but can measure my ring finger around with a tape measure. I found a size converter online and based on my finger measurement it said I should wear a size 54 in French size but I have really skinny fingers and I am surprised that this would be the size. Did I do something wrong? I am asking my DH if he would buy me the passerelle ring for Christmas but I don't want to five him the wrong size !! Thanks so much.

Very puzzling chefcat. All I can say is that I bought my bracelet as a vintage piece, so perhaps the design has changed? I have a vintage Boucle Sellier ring but the design is different in its newest incarnation.

As you said - it is yet another H mystery.

But your bracelet looks beautiful :)

Well, I can't wear enamels (can't fit them over my big hands!) and I can wear a large CDC on the smallest hole. The boucle sellier unshortened still slid down my hand half way to the knuckle. After cutting one link off (which I now use as a pendant), it looks much better. I don't have access to my photos for now, but I'll take pics and do measurements later!

This is a really nice bracelet to wear and is one of those pieces that makes a statement by itself.

I can't fit the enamels over my hand either. I have been wanting so badly to be able to wear an H enamel. My SA also explained that some people can "collapse" their hand more than others and hence the bracelets slip on more easily.
I love your narrow and wide Boucle Sellier - they are both gorgeous.

If you remove a link, it won't change how the clasp looks..you'll still be using the same hole (closest to the chain) with the same amount of strap extending. It needs a third hole closer to the chain or a longer strap in order to extend further past the keeper. Neither is really doable from what I can see in the picture. Whether it's a flaw depends on if the clasp is less secure because of the shorter length; but the look is definitely less ideal than the earlier versions. I'm not sure how the clasp works, but if after you wear it and shake it around a bit, it seems less secure, then I'd return it.

If you have a department store that sells brands like Bvlgari, they should have European ring sizers to get your correct size. Or at the very least, go to a jeweler, figure out your US size and convert to the French size.

Don't know if it'll help but on the Cartier website you can print a sheet of paper with the different sizes and find out yours by measuring one of your own ring on their chart. Maybe other jeweler's website offer this too.

I find that the best way to put on a tight bracelet is to reduce the friction as much as possible. Some people use pantyhose, but I've found the best results with superthin plastic shopping bags. Grocery bags like those at walmart or walgreens. I've even used a small clean clear plastic trashbag in a pinch. I first tried it when I was shopping for a jade bracelet, those jade saleswomen are persistent! lol

I do have to use them to get the bracelet off too, though. I can't wear any jewelry to sleep except my small studs in my 2nd holes.

...

On another note, I'm expecting a package sometime next week. :graucho: It's preloved, but I'm excited! I love H silver!

We do have stores like this ...I'm just too lazy to go there. :shame: But if I find myself out someday without the kiddos (almost never...) I will go and see what size.

Tiffany's website has it too. 54 is my ring size, so your size will be much smaller.

I don't know if you've already ordered your ring but if you haven't yet, I just saw that there's a "baguier" on the French H.com (the ring size sheet I told you about previously). Since it's provided by H you won't risk ordering the wrong size.

Thanks!! :smile1: I went to the local shop yesterday and, while they did not have European/French sizing, they did say my ring size would be 5 1/2. I think that corresponds to the 52?

Thank you!! I will look for this right now! :smile1: I think my US size to French size conversion will be wrong. The US size was 5 1/2 but that's because the next size down was a bit too snug to get over my larger knuckle. And when I try and convert this to the French size I have to go up a size -- and I think this would be too large. So the H size ring sheet should fit great.
