I bought a new silver bracelet called Nauticus (spelling?). This is the large GM size in a small PM wrist size - confusing, isn't it?

Thanks for letting me share!

Sorry - I haven't posted pics for so long. I think this version will be easier to see. I turned it upside down for the second pic so I could photograph the start of the writing.

^ I LOVE your new silver cuff! May I ask how much it was? Thank you!
Thanks, pond. I think it was close to US$1800 - but I bought it in Malaysia so I'm guessing it's cheaper in the States. For the amount of cut-outs in it, it's still pretty heavy silver.

I'm finding I can wear this on just about any occasion so it's pretty versatile.

The cuff looks wonderful on you. What is the name of it?
Do you know if it comes in a GM or TGM size? Your wrist looks nicely small.

Thanks, eagle. One downside of unpacking when you're jetlagged is that you can't remember where you put things. I've no idea where I put the receipt - nor one I got from LV, but they are smart enough to email receipts as well so I have that one anyway. I'll have a hunt round but i may have to call the store & ask. I'd be surprised if H didnt make the cuff in different sizes. i just roughly measured my wrist as 6.5". I don't know if that's particularly small, though. This cuff couldn't be any smaller for me.
I'll post info if I can find out more.

Found it!! It's called "Bracelet Compagnon". "Companion Bracelet"? I also saw one translation being "lifelong companion." That would be kind of cute, seeing DH chose it for me. Hope this helps. There is a matching ring in the same design and also some drop earrings with the horseshoe in them. Very keen on finding the latter & now I might be able to.

Thanks for passing that info on, xquisite. I may be your twin someday!

Not sure if this is a right place to post question - mods please move this to the appropriate thread if you see fit.

I'm going to purchase a farandole necklace from a online reseller. From the picture and the description the silver is a bit dull, like most necklace used. Can anyone advise what I can do to bring back a bit of glow? By jewelry cloth or silver polish cloth?

TIA!

does anyone know what's the biggest size the rings come in? the sa measured by ring and says its a size 59 but the she tells me asia doesnt stock the big sizes...would i be able to order in the ring in my size?

Thanks, xquisite! If I comeacross a T-TGM (XXL) I will be sure to try it on. That might be a search for me. It looks like the Passerelle, like its meant to be not big and chunky. It's a nice look for sure.

I wonder if the necklace is rhodium plated to avoid tarnish. I don't have an answer to your question, but I can tell you from the tintamarre loopy-loopy bracelet I own, the silver does get dulled, kind of like a frosted white, it does not retain the bright silver white it originally came in. Part of this may be the process of the silver getting micro-scratches that lead to a silver patina over time. It's possible that a silver dip would bring it back to the original brightness but it's my understanding that dip removes a micro-fraction of silver each time it's used, and so it might remove any rhodium plating. It would be difficult to polish the anchor links if the rhodium plating was removed and tarnish appeared. You could try the cloth, gently. Maybe Madison Ave. can recommend how to brighten it up. IMHO, one has to be diligent about polishing to keep silver really shiny. If there is no rhodium plating, one can always take the item to a jeweler for polishing and that will make it look like new, in my experience.

Even though it's pretty stiff it is somewhat adjustable, being a cuff. You can open & close it a little. It is partly open & not meant to close all the way around the wrist.
