Ok, so this one was love at first sight for me...
The Parade bracelet:

That is one show-stopping bracelet, graycat5! Congrats!

dear lanit, i finally use my macbook air to take pics. couldn't find my camera. have decided to keep it even though it actually hangs on my hand rather my wrist. have gotten used to the weight of the bracelet! :smile1: the horse head moves a bit to the side but it doesn't go under like the kelly dog!
Glad you decided to keep this, chincac. It suits you very well. Note to self: I must be strong... If I keep seeing these stunning modelling pictures, I might cave on the bracelet too...

Does anybody have this Parade bracelet? I'm wondering how small it really is, and how it looks on.

Hermes bracelet in silver, PM, size small.

Winterbaby, I played with this briefly in store. It is pretty. I don't remember it being super dainty, but I was worried that the charms would annoy me (that - plus being caught up in a Galop-ing frenzy...).

Just got a Galop PM ring.
It's not so dramatic and easy to id as Galop GM ring, but it's cute and suitable for daily wear. :p
Congrats, glaucophane! The ring looks great on you.

Some fabulous images in Le Monde issue featuring new silver collection...

Here's a question:

Do you polish your silver pieces at all? I'm convinced that my farandole necklace s plated with something because I have never had a silver piece stay so bright and shiny for so long. Usually unplated earrings and necklaces need polishing or they start tarnishing. I don't have this problem with bracelets.

At any rate, I have 2 pieces of H silver that I picked up secondhand that benefited from polishing. I'm wondering if it is just luck?

I haven't polished my Farandole and the shiny luster of mine disappeared quickly. One SA offered to have it put into some kind of UV (???) bath but I declined. I think plumtree has said that she is fond of the patina of her H silver pieces and I like that idea - nevertheless, the shine of my Farandole when it was new was spectacular.

Hello Junkenpo,

Interesting to hear your experiences, and am curious to hear what others do.

So far, my only piece of Hermes silver is my Farandole. Soon after purchasing, I lined my Farandole box with several layers of "Pacific Silvercloth", which can be bought by the yard. It's a flannel material that's impregnated with bits of silver. Those bits oxidize, instead of the jewelry, and therefore it helps prevent tarnishing. Jewelry pouches made of this type of flannel material can also be purchased, as can "sliver protection strips", which serve the same purpose. My pouches and strips are by Hagerty.

I recently commented to my sales associate that I was happy that my necklace hadn't started tarnishing yet (I've had mine 3 1/2 months). I'm sure the silver cloth has helped, but she said that when new, their silver is dipped in something to help prevent tarnish. She suggested holding off as long as possible before polishing, so I'll wait until there is visible tarnish.

When I do need to start polishing, I'll use my favorite, gentle, silver polish called "Twinkle". I've used it for years, for silver flatware, and for silver and gold jewelry. I also have a horsehair polishing brush, that can be used to gently get into crevices. I don't mind the patina of fine lines, that silver acquires over time, but I don't like tarnish. I'm happy to polish, as I've always found it to be a relaxing, and satisfying task! :D
