My happiness increased! Finally found cw13 again  this is what happens when you don't grab what catches your eye right away thinking "I have to think about it" (who was I kidding?).

Showing the reverse side for @frou frou and @Bostonjetset -- I think this cw has the most saturation, my cw 03 only has the black parts visible on the back of the scarf.

Good or not good enough? :girlsigh:

Must look away! Must look away! So gorgeous and bright. It is calling my name! Gah!

My initial reaction to the enthusiasm over here for this design was …..bemusement . I felt it had a very dressy and serious vibe best left for more glamorous folk.
As ever first impressions need to be adjusted, and after a few encounters in stores I found myself falling for what you all saw months ago.
My choice today was the well loved and much documented cw 08 , and I'm loving the way it really is at least 3 different scarves according to the tie..
Hugely loving the shading and loving detail ,which all thought H had done away with in the age of digital printing.

Now I need to voice a small grouse, it could be something to do with new techniques , but does anyone else feel slightly off about the fact the reverse has almost no colour?
Mine is so pale on the reverse , it's a big contrast to the right side and annoying in some of my very casual , thrown on knots .
At one time saturation of the reverse was the sign the scarf was authentic., but more and more I note that many newer scarves have little colour there.
Any thoughts ?

I may have to post a modelling shot soon , I do seriously love this scarf!

You're right, mine's a paler cw anyway so the difference is not quite a noticeable but it doesn't please me. Oddly, my SS17 Appaloosa is so saturated on the reverse I'd have to carefully check that the writing is not 'mirrored' to notice the difference.

Hmm, that IS odd. I wonder why some designs are more saturated than others?

Thank you, dear Pautinka! Seeing this irl plus @sdsurfchick 's photos: https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/ode-to-parures-de-samourais.962678/page-9#post-31196047 sealed the deal for me! [emoji813]
It is stunning - I was thinking of going for 02, as a subdued ladylike daytime version but I am tempted to get this too, for when I get my summer tan and feel more vibrant ! Of course, I have my 05 for that but as Marilyn Monroe almost said, "Samouraïs are a girl's best friend".

Re the other comments about saturation, my 2 don't seem too bad. The details have all come through to the other side and the only parts where they haven't is where the colour on the top side is graduated. See my pics below for my reverse sides. When I received my orange one I did wonder how such fine detail to the sleeves (see second last pic) could have been done non-digitally but, given that H (apparently) use digital printing for their photographic scarves perhaps Samouraïs is a venture into a hybrid of the two? Just a thought - and it certainly wouldn't put me off them.
I also compared the reverse of one to the reverse of my Jardins d'Hiver (my darkest scarf) and I have to say that it compares well (see last pic). However, even my 1956 Roues du Canon have an obvious right and wrong side.

This is interesting, Pautinka, and you're right! The finer details and the parts where colour is gradated are not reflected on the reverse. I never thought about digital printing but I think I don't mind a hybrid of printing techniques if it produces scarves this beautiful.

Thank you, spylove22! You bought many cws of PdS or many scarves from SS 2017? This season has been bountiful! :amuse:

Thank you for your Likes, dear Samouraïs! :flowers:

Ok loves! Picked up CW 14!!! @Joannadyne- I went in for 05 but I couldn't stop thinking about @Bostonjetset's photos!!!

Needless to say, 05 and a few others are still reserved for me in my pile.

Also picked up a Les Bains de Hermès 100 and a Savannah Dance gavroche. I have a super important meeting this week and always have a weird tradition of buying a new gavroche for career-related meetings.IMG_1491713181.104673.jpg
