When I open the bag, where the flap bends, the inner lining and the outer leather separate and theres so much tension there and it almost creates a bubble.
Ok, it does sound like there's slightly too much tension as the inner leather lining piece is a bit too short and therefore restricting your access. I don't think this is going to improve with use as it won't stretch noticeably, but I guess you won't mind too much! My congratulations, Saphir Box is stunning!

Just got a mini kelly, does anyone feel like the bag is hard to get in and out of because the inner lining is so tight on the flap? When I open the bag, theres a lot of tension on the bend where the bag opens and closes. Any advice is appreciated. My MK is in box leather if that helps. Thanks!
My first MK was in epsom leather and I had no issues. But it was a totally different experience with my Kelly Picnic as it was just so difficult to get in and out due to the flap. I usually don't open it up much. My third MK in gator is much softer so I have no issues at all.

Hence, it all boils down to the type of leather.

This sounds normal to me …. All my Kellys do this and I have Epsom, box, togo
I'm hoping its just a new bag thing and it will loosen over time. I'm looking at bags on Sothebys and the new bags' flap look so loose compared to mine. When the bags are opened, the inner lining doesnt seem to separate from the outside leather forming any tension.

I second what @periogirl28 has said, sounds like it’s a mismatch between the interior and exterior.
For my Kelly box (25) , the act of opening is stiff (like the leather is not pliable) but I don’t notice the tension almost creating a bubble between the exterior / interior , HTH.

Maybe we're talking about 2 different things :sweatdrop: The inner lining separates from the outside leather on all of my Kellys when open... Yes the box is way stiffer, but I attribute it to the outside leather not being as pliable like @H_newbie said.

Here's a picture of a box bag I found online. I assumed that's what you meant by "bubble".... mine does the same thing. But maybe yours is worse?

hi everyone! the mini K is my dream bag and i'm planning to ask for one in goat leather - either mysore or chamkila. can I ask your views on whether this is rarer than epsom bags? I just love goat leather and would prefer my MK in that leather!

also, in terms of offers, wondering what colours we have seen more of for MK this year or lately?

:)

Yes definitely rarer than epsom. More usually available in SO.

Hi guys, is it possible to request mini Kelly for first qb?

Also I need some feedback. How often do u use mk? I mean it’s pretty expensive for such small bag. Do u get enough mileage out of it? How much can it fit? Beside epsom, what other leather is available?

Thanks thanks
You can find all the information about Kelly Mini on this thread - what it fits, the different types of leather and more. ;)

MKII silver metallic chèvre , about 13K USD (apologies, don’t know how to post in prices thread). Compared to the old silver JPG chaine d’ancre clutch circa 2005, also chèvre, this color , is a bit cooler and more gray in undertone.

Because the MKII is a high crossbody, it tends to crumple rtw when worn this way, so I prefer clothing that lies flat
