I added my Chanel bracelet to extend my mini Kelly strap length a bit. My SA is working on getting me a longer strap but in the meantime I’d love to hear of any other creative ways to extend it. Thank you!

Mini Kelly owners which leather would you prefer for this bag i.e. epsom or chevre?

I was thinking the bag would be rigid and sturdy if in epsom so it would be easier to get things out. Is this true?

What about chevre? Pros and cons?

Any thoughts would be much appreciated. Thank you.

I have both and I prefer the epsom. I do wear the bag open with just the flap closed and the sangles open. I think if you set the bag to the degree of “open” you want it isn’t that hard to get in and out of. Of the two I would say chèvre is maybe slightly easier to mangle things into. But it’s a little bit of a wash.

that said my car has push button start and proximity key, so the only time I am in my bag is to get out a wallet, lip balm, or sanitizer. My phone is always in my hand because I’m either emailing or messaging someone :lol:

as an aside, the touchland hand sanitizers are great for this bag because they’re thin and flat.

Hope you’re all well!

I’d really appreciate your help please.

I stand 6ft tall and am a size 14-16 UK (size 10-12 US).

I’m enamoured with the Kelly 20 (Kelly mini 2) but wonder if its a practical bag. The classic Chanel WOC and birkin 25 don’t look ridiculous on me.

I’ve never come across a taller, ’plus size’ person carrying the mini Kelly 2 and thus find it hard to gauge.

1. Are there any taller/plus size people out there with a Kelly mini 2 that could please share model shots of the same?
2. Does the Kelly mini 2 carry more than the classic Chanel wallet on chain?
3. Would you go with a kelly 25 vs kelly mini 2 for my frame?

I'm 5'9 and have both these bags. Sorry, no mod shots. But the mini kelly can hold my phone, card case and single car key, while I have to just take my cards with my chanel woc along with my phone and car key. The woc is more flat, so you aren't able to carry quite as much.

Honestly depends on you! 25 is definitely more practical, but I love a tiny bag on a tall frame because it's a look! Get what you love more and will use!

I personally would take the bag but if you are unsure, I am sure you will be offered another mini Kelly if you are being offered a box leather one now. I plan to mainly use mine as an evening bag, as I think the sheen of box lends itself nicely to nighttime in a small size bag. Good luck with your decision.
