I’ve wanted these platform loafers since they came out but unable to get them at home. So happy I was able to get 2 different colors in my size at FSH! Vert Fonce suede and black calfskin. They do run a little big so I struggled on which size. I ended up going with my regular size and will put a pad in. The smaller size squished my pinky toes so I knew I wouldn’t like that. They are actually very comfortable overall!

I LOVE Hermes platforms. They did not have my size in the black loafers, but I got the awesome green suede sandals last season.

Thank you so much! I was able to try them on other day in suede and the rope sole definitely was not the most comfortable. I can imagine wearing them for brief outing but at that point, I’ll just wear my Dior birkenstocks! Do you find the rope sole to break in and mold to your feet over time?

Glad to hear that you were able to try them on in store. Hmmm yes they do get more comfortable with time. For me the issue is the roughness of the rope when I’m walking a lot i.e. more than half a day of walking. I guess you can always wear thin no show socks?

All in all, I would still recommend the trip espadrilles. I think you would enjoy them

@DoggieBags and @in_mybag, pardon me for reaching out, but I was hoping to get any additional feedback you both may have on the Hommage Ankle Boots. I was looking to get Frenchie boots in Noir but there were none in my size, so I picked up a pair in Naturel and am still on the hunt for black, low-heeled ankle boots.

I am interested in the Hommage boots, but they look narrower than the Frenchie. How does the width of the Hommage feel? I am a 36.5 in both the Oasis sandals and the Frenchie boots. I had tried the Frenchie boots on in 37 and my heel lifted out of the boot a bit so from a length perspective I feel good about 36.5, but my feet can be a bit wide in certain shoes so I worry about the toe box on the Hommage.

Thank you so much!

I was considering this exact pair. Are they heavy?

I haven’t used mine yet so I can’t tell you yet how comfortable they are to walk in. I bought it some time in the summer and the weather here has been warm for fall so I’m still wearing sandals. i’ve seen the boot in 2 colors so far, The noir in calfskin and the brun amourette in goatskin. I got the goatskin which gives more than calfskin. I have a wide foot and prefer boots in leather that will stretch more.

Hi! Unfortunately I haven’t gotten a chance to try them on yet — I asked my SA to order them but they haven’t arrived. So sorry!

Thank you both for the responses. I might just roll the dice on them and hope they work!

Do the Paris or the Collette loafers in colours other than black ever come in sizes larger than 40? I'm in Australia and my local store only had a black pair of Paris loafers in 40 but they were too small, I'm usually a US9.5. I've only ever seen black in 41 online. It's coming into spring and summer here I'd love to get a pair of lighter colour loafers.
I tried on Paris loafers in a light blue (Gris Antarctique?) in 40.5 at the store in London. I'm also a US 9.5 and the 40.5 fit really well.

I just ordered my first ever pair of exotic Hermes shoes! I saw these Orans on the US Hermes website today and fell in love with them at first sight!

I usually wear standard non-exotic calf skin Orans daily and they are my most comfortable shoes.

Does anyone know if Lizard skin Orans are as comfortable as the calf skin Orans?

The website does not say what leather is used for the inner part of the shoes that touch against your foot skin.B1E5A7C2-7E83-4D6D-9857-F0A3E38468C8.jpeg
