Hi everyone, I just got my first Day sneakers and need some advice. My usual size is 36 but I sized down into 35.5 because my feet is slipping in the back when I walk but I could feel a slight pinch in my toes with the 35.5. Should I size up in 36 and let my feet slip out a bit or keep the 35.5 but I'm bothered at the slight pinching on my toes. Do Day sneakers loosen up with wear overtime? TIA

I don’t have this exact model but other leather sneakers I have I find do loosen up a bit with time and use. That being said if the pinching is painful I wouldn’t keep these. How much slippage is there when you go half size up? Is it something that can be helped by tightening the lace a bit more & wearing thicker socks?

I understand the feeling of not finding the right fit either way though…I had styles of shoes where I’m literally between two half sizes and had to just give up as they are not for me  and this CW of day sneakers is so cute

I use ultra thin socks with my Day sneakers and it helps. Also, I wear mine unbuckled as I don't want to put strain on the pieces of leather that are attached to the buckles. It is more comfortable that way! You can also consider stretching them with a shoe stretcher.

Hi,

I have a question. I received my Day Sneaker today (baught them online) and the leather looks a little strange. I have attached pictures. The leather almost looks like torn or it forms stripes because it is so tightly processed?! Is this normal or should I complain about the shoes?

Thank you and best regards!

Hi Frivole 88, I have seen that you bought the same shoes as I did and I have seen that you have the same leather condition. Is it normal? For your information I sized down from 39 to 38.

I sized up 1/2 a size too, and had the same heel slip. It helped when I tightened the laces!

Following up, one of the buckles did come off my Colette’s. It definitely wasn’t screwed in properly. I’m so frustrated. Need to take in for a repair. I’ve only worn them 3 times!

@ColetteBlue did they charge you for the repair in the end?

So unlike @ColetteBlue, Hermes couldn’t repair my Colette buckle. I got a refund based on the shoe price prior to the price increase (so now i get to spend an additional $100 to replace the shoes). Trying to source a noir pair, but who knows. Sigh. My suede ones are still fantastic.

Oh no! When did you all buy yours?

Turns out the Colette’s didn’t fit TTS for me — had to size up 1/2 a size and picking them up this week. Hopefully I don’t have the buckle issue…

November. It’s sucks because they were the last pair of indigos in the world in my size.

I think you should be ok! I do find the goat leather on the Paris loafers to be more luxurious and giving. I hope the next pair fits better.
