I purchased the Amica in brown and white (true to size, in my opinion, if anyone wondered) but 5 minutes of wearing them outside, the liner of the insole already lifted. I immediately went to my Hermes store and reported this but since the bottom of the sole was scratched because I already had worn were outside, they could not take it back. The only option they offered was to either (1) fix them myself or (2) send them to Paris with 9 months waiting time. At the end, they reported it to Hermes Paris with pictures and I was told to bring the sandals home. So now, I am waiting for the ticket to be resolved.

I was shown, however, this problem will not happen in Oran since the leather is stitched either it is along the perimeter of the sandals or across the widest part. Sharing it so anyone who is interested in Amica is aware of a potential problem. I am actually okay to gluing it again but I am just not sure whether I should accept this quality problem, 5 minutes from wearing them (maybe even less, it was only a few steps). My husband even said: so you want to fix a new pair of shoes? The lifted part even rubbed on my skin and made some blisters already. I am just quite sad because I really love these pair. Not sure what I can do apart from waiting. I can't use them either.

This happened to one of my orans, even though it is stitched down it came loose and caused blisters. I will have to get it repaired. I think that may be the reason why the new orans don’t have that stitched leather piece anymore, although i do see some still have it.

i wrote a review of orans for a member in the NY store thread, then thought to move it here before a mod did it. of course this is JMO (please let me know if this is not the appropriate thread)

@clux20
Orans run short but the foot volume if you go up in size is higher. And, an epsom oran is somehow more voluminous than a softer leather.As a quick OT, if you have high arches and need a modicum of support, orans are not for you. If you have a somewhat broader than average or skinnier than average ball of the foot, you will either cause the oasis upper to misshape or you will slide through and your toes may overhang. Depending on the upper material, both can cut your foot into ribbons. I have temperamental feet and find orans only comfortable when I am at my lightest Weight. This is bc when I am heavier, my feet slightly spread. (sorry for TMI). Orans run short but the foot volume if you go up in size is higher. And, an epsom oran is somehow more voluminous than a softer leather. In additon, some have a seam under your toes, IDKW

if you like soft squishy shoes reminiscent of a Birkenstock crossed with a lazy boy recliner, the Most comfy are the ones with the cut out O, but my SA literally grimaces bc he thinks that they are so ordinary (his words). He has refused to sell them to me. We don’t argue long about it bc the Madison Avenue shoe dept is like being in an airless attic. There is actually another thread devoted to H shoes that you may want to read, and if you search oran uncomfortable, a zillion threads pop up https://forum.purseblog.com/search/1551924/?q=Orans+uncomfortable&o=relevance

D057D73F-B6D8-426F-9C42-86946DF8D36C.jpegInitially wasn’t sure about the cork base but they look so good on my feet that I am glad I managed to snatch the last of my size. The goat leather is beautiful and unique, the branding discreet, the style summery and relaxed (it is modelled after driving shoes).

This colour (Marron Glais) matches my DS45 in Gold and Orange as it is truly the mid point between brown and orange. Yet, it is still brown enough for my BF Saut. Cannot be happier.

I tried asking on the general forum but no takers. Hopefully I get better traction here among shoes owners.

I just realized my Echo loafers come with extra, removable lambskin insoles.
To those who have this type of shoes (or any other H shoes that come with extra insoles, if any) what is it for? Extra padding? Extra protection? Replacement insole? I am curious.

Thank you.

Hahaha I know right?? Thank you!!

The black ones weren't on my list, only the nudes. But the minute I tried them on, it was game over :lol:

They are actually quite decent for the heel height!! I think my H high heels are some of my comfiest pairs.
