Jumping onto the Chypre topic - are these only sold as ‘men’s’? I just bought a pair in my size (interestingly it is the size up in the men’s sizing) because I could not find any on the women’s page in the few weeks I was checking online.

I did see these pop up in women’s once! I forgot to take a screenshot at the moment. I am a women’s 35 and unfortunately cannot wear men’s shoes at all and haven’t been able to score these in women’s sizing in store at all...

Here you go... apologies for my dancer's feet and the poor lighting in the mirror shots. The last photo is in daylight.

I'm still concerned about the wear so will probably return unless you guys can convince me otherwise :)

I think they look really cute! FWIW, I think all shearling / wool lined in shoes will immediately compress, you are standing on top of them with all your weight, there's no way they don't lol. I don't think that means they will have bad "wear and tear" it's just how they are...I'm thinking of the many pairs of UGGs I have owned (shhh don't judge me). It's not like they will fall apart or anything. But if you don't like this, definitely return since you are the one that needs to be happy w/ your purchases.

Thanks!
I am not worried about compression, because that can be fluffed up a bit. But the shearling has worn away a little gap in one small part by the toe already, and that's just from trying on for a few minutes. Obviously that area needs to be 'strong'. I have reached out to Hermes to see if mine has a flaw or if it's to be expected.

Have you worn your shearling Orans yet? Wondered how you felt about wear & tear.

I purchased the same but even just via trying them on for a couple of minutes a few times, I feel like the wool at the toe has compressed down already. Thinking of returning even though they are so gorgeous, and I'm afraid to keep trying them in case the return is not accepted.
I got them on Saturday so haven't had the chance to wear them yet. I can't imagine the footbed will remain pristine, but I think the top of the shoe should, for the most part.
