I'm sure they'll have more, it's a newer colour, very smart with the black tassels. You were lucky to still find Rocobar :woohoo:

There's a pic of me with it belted (H and Barenia) just the last page, post 695

H coats are oversized this season, like 4 sizes oversized or something, it's not you, it's the collection ;)

These ponchos are big and long, that's the traditional size rather than a fashion thing, they are supposed to cover the rider over the legs. They don't look swampy on some petits but only you know you.

This year like last, there are literally hundreds of beautiful non-H options too. Loro Piana has a 'Demi Carre' in leather-trimmed double baby cashmere jersey.

You can also try the H Rocabar blankets like KM wore. They don't have cashmere in the mix but they're smaller.

Thanks. It would be great for riding. But I fell off pretty bad yesterday so I am not sure I will be riding again for a month or so.
Your idea about the H Rocabar blanker is perfect. This is what I saw in the store and really liked it. I may try it. Hope I don't look funny on the street wearing a blanket. [emoji5]️

I agree thar the coats are huge this season, my SA was laughing at me in the size 34 cashmere coat. And don't even talk about the ponchos. Oh well more money for bags!

Update: My SA found the Rocabar blanket in another store. They were sold out in my huge store. They will ship it to my store. Not a poncho but will be used as a cover sort of poncho. Really like the KM look. Thanks papertiger for the suggestion. [emoji169]
Btw, my SA was so cute when she expressed her dissatisfaction with the fit of the H coats and clothing on me.

The noir/navy Alamo poncho arrived today, just in time for the frigid weather. Love it!I've already I've already cut off the big white materials tag in the front, it must be required because it sure didn't look very Hermes. Wore it all afternoon. :D

(Sorry that the pics are so bad, there just isn't enough light to get the colors right and if I lighten them anymore they're too blurry. I'm almost 5'9", the Lindy is Prunoir, the 90 silk is Texas and the GM mousseline is Coup de Fouet.)

Looks fabulous, Pierina! Don't you love how easy it is to match this one with scarves?

I cut off that white tag, too—it's the first thing you have to do after opening the box. Interesting hypothesis why it's there in the first place; makes sense...

Thanks so much, katika, and you should wear yours for sure. Because there's no collar on the poncho you can use a cashmere GM with it too. :smile1:

Thank you arabesques, for the kind comments and for the inspiration. It is very easy!!

Sarah, thank you! It is delightfully soft and the tassels are even somewhat addictive to play
with. The more H leather, the better. :smile1::smile1:

Wearing mine to work the other day belted with Barenia

This poncho is 2.5 years old now

Had to look back...looks great belted on you! This is how I wear mine otherwise I get lost in it.
By the way, it looks brand new.

Per your post above, I was just wondering if yours had arrived, and here you are modelling it beautifully! Navy and black is such and elegant color combo, and so easy to work with, too. Enjoy your new poncho! :smile1:
