Another fantastic look arabesques!!

This version was also on my Wishlist but my store just got one of these and it was already sold........but they had the red Rocobar and I couldn't leave without it. Still wished I could have seen the navy and black.....

Thanks, tinkerbell. I hope your store ordered another so you can try it on. But congrats on the red Rocobar, that's another favorite of mine.

Oh my goodness!!!! This is amazing! this color combo!!!!

Thanks, IF!

Oh goodness, arabesques, your photos of your poncho from last year (the anthracite one) inspired me to run out and buy one for myself! I LOVE this incredibly chic combination, especially with the black tassels. Just gorgeous on you...enjoy it!

Thank you, hclubfan. I'm not sure I'm your inspiration, however, as I don't own the anthracite one. It was on my wishlist (it's beautiful) until this one came along. So many beautiful women wearing these now!

Twins! I love the way you put your silk with it.
Please tell me how you tied it. I have knot-block disease.
This is my third poncho. Just love them.

You are so chic.

Thanks, andee. The knot is simple. Fold scarf in half. Fold on a diagonal, producing an asymmetrical, double-pointed triangle-y shape. Smooth as you tie a half knot.

Be careful what you wish for, the night temps in the city will be around 35 this weekend! Great poncho weather. :smile1: And mine has arrived, and will be here Monday. :graucho:

This weather this weekend is glorious! Perfect for the ponchos. I look forward to seeing a modeling pic of yours!

That's so pretty arabesques, and your whole outfit is adorable! Perfect for fall, and such an elegant color combo. Sending wishes for cool temps very soon!

Thank you, etoile de mer. It's already been to the Whitney, the ballet, Hermès, other shopping.... I adore a refined poncho.

So lovely on you Arabesques this is very tempting…...
I need to get the red worn before I start diversifying , just love these things now!

The red is heaven... I think that's what I'm wearing today... Is it too enabling to say that multiples of this are well-worn the closet space used?

:woohoo:

Perfect classic

Thanks, papertiger. xo

arabesques, you are definitely my Poncho Queen!!! This is just perfect on you!! Thanks for sharing and enjoy in hopefully cooler weather soon! ;)

Thank you, Sammy Royal. I hope your ponchos are being used either now or soon. The leaves are starting to turn and it feels great to echo their color with the paille poncho...

Oh, Frou Frou, you have the red? Which style? May I request that you please post some pictures once you wear it? :flowers: Do you have any pics in this thread that I have forgotten about?

Raineday [ only] the red Rocabar which I love.
I posted a year ago , it's Page 45 post 675 on this thread .
I like it best with a cross body Evelyne which I showed with it.

I've a different take on wearing it this year, so I'll post that next week !

I have the same one. I am petite so I mostly wear it belted with an H belt to give it shape and make it less bulky (the tan coloured belt works best since it incorporate's in the tassels, black looks fine too).

Back to report. I went in to try it and I got lost in it. I love how soft it is. But it was way too big. So were all the coats I tried. [emoji20] Seems on this one I will admire the photos of others.

Sarah_sara, as Lynne_ross says, try it with a belt. I sometimes do that, too, and the look is more streamlined. I'll try to post pics of wearing it this way this week...

I swear I tried it and it just covered me and I really looked weird. Even my SA was not so convinced. I may try it again, just because everyone is really supportive. I not like belts though. I wonder if there is another way without a belt.

I wish we could have gone together, I would have convinced you to buy one :roflmfao:;) I am really hoping to try on the red Rocabar soon. It didn't happen for me last year, I was waiting on the Prussian Blue.

Dear, I wish we went together. :) On you it will look so beautiful. It will be perfection. You have been eyeing the poncho for a while now. Maybe I can use the tyger tyger cashmere scarf as a coverup. I am thinking of the black and white.

You know I thought the same the first time I tried .
It is large and on a petite person will look different , but it's just as chic IMO
I posted mine last year , and look at Arabesques , she is petite too and looks great.

You need to get your eye in and return for a second try :graucho:

I also tried the sweater coat and that one was a total disaster. I will go and give the poncho another try. But belt are problematic for me. I will try it though again and really pay attention. I was in a bit of a hurry.
It looks amazing on everyone else.

How petite are you ?
I'm 5' 5'' and small boned so I too felt swamped by it and wrote it off to start .
Only by going back a couple of times did I start to see it was actually very nice on me ,longer than on some people who posted but I like that now.
I don't belt mine , not my thing either though it will look great on the right person.

I am barely 5'3 and petite, small boned. The H clothing is too big on me.
I will check it out next time. It is so soft. Something was just not working. I was in a rush though.

Love me red Rocabar .It's a different one to the one I went to bed with , daylight shows the warmth of the Rouge H where the plain section at the front is a lively rust .But the stripes are wondrous and give the piece depth .
Thanks to all of you : Arabesques, Papertiger and Liilth who inspired this colour choice, it feels RIGHT and I know I shall get so much pleasure from wearing it .

Furthermore, ordering online wasn't such a bad idea , no postage costs if pick up instore , and a huge orange box to keep it in . That's brilliant because my wardrobe overfloweth .

OK cut the waffle and down to some photos

I like it very much with the Evelyne , the crossbody works with it fine and serves to keep it flatter too , so a couple to show that.
And a shot with a CSPM in autumnal shades .I think a GM would be too much at least for me , but the 90cm cashmere gives a nice bit of neck coverage .

Now anyone coming for a walk on the Heath ?

Thank you, Frou Frou! I do remember this, I believe. The red Rocabar is absolutely stunning on you! I need to see this in person asap.

:hugs: I have! They only had the Alamo in my store last Fall and it was on hold for someone else (they let me try it though :graucho:). I realize that I can order online and return if it doesn't work out, but I have a feeling that any of the CW would work...I just want the most flattering one. And I can't decide that without trying them on. I am leaning toward the red right now.

The b&w Tyger will be lovely on you, and will go with both of your Birkins.

On you all of the CW will look great. I really liked the softness and material. The blue one looks good. Red will give you a pop of colour and suit you as well. Maybe the red will work better, I think you are right. I know it will most definitely look amazing on you. I need to borrow some of your height. [emoji5]️

Thank you. I may go for the tyger scarf. [emoji197]

I'm sure they'll have more, it's a newer colour, very smart with the black tassels. You were lucky to still find Rocobar :woohoo:

Looking forward to your pics. Do you other belts than the H belt? I haven't tried other yet, looking for other ideas.

There's a pic of me with it belted (H and Barenia) just the last page, post 695

H coats are oversized this season, like 4 sizes oversized or something, it's not you, it's the collection ;)

These ponchos are big and long, that's the traditional size rather than a fashion thing, they are supposed to cover the rider over the legs. They don't look swampy on some petits but only you know you.

This year like last, there are literally hundreds of beautiful non-H options too. Loro Piana has a 'Demi Carre' in leather-trimmed double baby cashmere jersey.

You can also try the H Rocabar blankets like KM wore. They don't have cashmere in the mix but they're smaller.
