Your pictures are gorgeous SR as is your styling
I too have found the only scarf I can wear with my poncho (grey/tan) is a mousse,
(oh with the exception of one Dip Dye) not quite sure why (maybe the drape) but
it works as does yours , beautifully,

Thank you so much!! :D You are right about the moussies. However, as Israeli said earlier, it is good to experiment a bit. I found that the poncho goes beautifully also with fur collars and scarfs and GMCS. Especially now that it is quite cold outside... :snowballs:

You're right about the fur collars I have one that really dresses up the poncho, makes it more elegant. They are really are very versatile, I love wearing mine when I go out for a meal as I don't have to worry about cloakrooms etc, it just folds up next to/behind me
They're also great on shopping trips, as you can fold them up and pop it into a bag if you get too warm in a store
Cost per wear my poncho is probably my best H buy ever and seeing as I have had it for about 4 years now, I think I maybe due another in a colour (mine is neutral grey/tan) :graucho:

It's a bit cold for the poncho in UK these days so mine is languishing it its box , but I'm happy to hear that your cost per year makes another one a no brainer.
Which colour are you drawn to for no 2 ?

I'm not too sure on the colours available currently maybe you can you help me?

I live in the UK and I wear chunky knitwear underneath, fur collar, boots, gloves (polar expedition look-a-like) just popping to the shops :hrmm:

I chose the Rouge H Rocabar myself and it seems to fit life in UK perfectly .
But then so would all the other colours : Paille /mustard , Anthracite and Bleu de Prusse . They are all divine ....

Hello all, I'm still on the fence about a poncho. Has anyone had good luck cleaning/laundering their poncho? Can I do it myself or is it really dry clean only. I wash all my own silks and csgm shawls, but those tassels??!!

The poncho material is much thicker than a CSGM (contains wool) and it is trimmed in leather leading up to the tassels. Absolutely need to be careful with this piece. I never considered washing it by hand or otherwise. If needed, I can see "spot" cleaning it carefully but I will definitely leave it to the pros when I finally do get it cleaned....

Ummmm. I have. In the washer!

I did so on delicate, then laid out to dry. The tassels and leather trip took a day or more, and you need to handle them nicely so they dry nice. You also need to take care and re-stretch the wool out a bit (though it doesn't pull in very much).

I think the next time I'll wash by hand.

It might go without saying, but I can be a bit fearless with textiles.
