jerseylily - I believe you should post your question on the authentication thread. The tag on your scarf looks suspiciously unlike any H tags that I have seen, but I am no expert. You will hopefully get the answers you are seeking.

I am not an expert on older obscure scarves but I do know that Hermes has machine-hemmed scarves in the past- some were VIP gratuities. I have 2 ancient georgette 90 cm scarves with machine stitch applied hems. Further, I have seen those kinds of Hermes Paris labels on ready to wear and Art de Vivre and the small loop tag looks ok to me. But I cannot be sure without seeing in person. Do you know how old this scarf is?

Hello ladies, many thanks for your suggestions and information. I would say the scarf was bought in the late seventies. I'll post the question on the authentication thread and see what they tell me. I am actually going to London next week and was wondering if anyone at Hermès in Bond Street might be able to take a look at it?
