What I do is cool water in a bathtub with cold water soap for delicates (and I have started using the dye catcher sheets but not sure it really makes a difference) and I swish around trying not to let the fabric fold up on itself. Rinse, and sweeze lightly and lay out flat. They dry really fast. Sometimes I hang from several pincher hangers to dry. Never had any trouble at all and they smell so fresh when clean.

similar method to TT. i put ice in the water, use wool delicate detergent or baby shampoo. swish around, and jst use two hands to squeeze it dry, dnt twist and squeeze. and lay it between two large white towel to pad it dry. and dry under the ceiling fan. i dnt iron my cashmere shawls. but for silk, i do iron, place a piece of cloth in btwn and avoid the hems.

I haven't been on this thread in awhile - so many beautiful EL things. I love the stoles and will have to check those out IRL. The silk jerseys are gorgeous, as is Robee's new blue beauty! I am looking forward to the cooler weather so that I can wear my two long-sought EL GMs. May even try hand washing GMs after reading those posts!!
