Thank you Ms Piggy for these wonderful pictures; I'm so in love with this design! I'm still waiting for this one to come in, having already purchased 01 & 05! Your's & Mia's photos are so fabulous!

Does anyone else consider this design limiting in terms of season? How versatile is it say if you live in a colder climate with 4 seasons- would you feel comfortable wearing this shawl in fall/winter with the palm trees and the tropical bird? This is one of my concerns esp. with the GM- the waves and palm trees are so prominant. I live in SoCal and I feel this shawl is really just for spring/summer or perhaps cruise in the winter. I would not wear it in the fall or winter. Other GMs for s/s 2012 transition better imo- like the Tendresse and the Geometrie. Or maybe it is just me, but this is my opinion based on what I have seen irl. At these prices, I prefer to buy scarves/shawls I can wear throughout the year. I also have not seen a cw irl that I like.

For me it depends on the CW. I know with mine (08) it is not for winter....spring & summer definitely, I guess ask me later in the year if I think it will work in the fall. The trees and the bird are easily hidden, and I live near the water, so folding it to show mainly the blue waves and the orange might do in the fall here. I also think the darker cws could work in the fall and perhaps the winter.

BBC- can you tell me if cw 08 is more vivid, or more muted? I've seen pictures where it looks bold and others where the colors look soft. I'd prefer it very bold :)

Also, I live in Wisconsin, and if I choose cw 08 over cw 04, I definitely plan to wear during winter. I would wear it with a cashmere turtleneck in any of the colors in the shawl, along with my camelhair coat. I think it would be beautiful during the cooler months, and the pattern probably wouldn't show as much :)

Ahhhhhh! So hard to pick just one colorway!
I know! I just keep looking back at all the pics & they are all so beautiful. I wish these weren't so expensive; I could really do with the whole set of these & no other shawls. The colourways are all so different but between them there'd be one for every occasion.

I agree with BBC. I would definitely be wearing this shawl in winter & I live where there are 4 seasons too. When it's actually folded and worn you see mostly the lovely mix of colours. The actual picture deign is not very obvious.
