box leather can have streaks and striations.

my bdp box wallet has faint streaks on the back but i was very lucky to have a completely striation-free black box birkin.

my kelly pochette in tadelakt though is also streak/straition-free.

^Gorgeous raisin box!

Am reviving this thread. Love box! Have been looking around for a BBK and realized there are so many gorgeous vintage ones available from resellers, eBay etc. Lovely and elegant. The older the box, the more gorgeous the patina. Sigh... *loves loves*

Baghag21, good luck in the vintage BBK search. I haven't personally felt modern box leather, but I just got my first piece of vintage box (a Piano bag from the 50s or 60s), and love the sheen, softness, and weight of it. :heart:
