u can see the pressed grain on the leather compare to smooth surface of regular barenia
That's interesting, I assumed (although I admit I have no idea!) that faubourg Barenia was a natural grain like Togo as opposed to a pressed grain like Epsom and would be fairly soft to the touch. That said I have no idea how they remove any grain from normal Barenia. Is it sanded?

I have no idea either but my impression was that faubourg starts raw as a grained leather like Togo but is given a "barenia " oil tanning process and that regular barenia starts smooth before it is tanned.
Total guess here :confused1: would love to know. I'm very curious about faubourg and how it behaves and ages.
