Oddly ambivalent about my new Coach

Ironically, I do love it. I loved it when I saw it, and love it still. But strangely, I was affected by all the Coaches out at dinner that night, that took the shine off the apple a little bit. I am going to keep it though - it's a perfect fit with my lifestyle, and I love it's look...

Well, congratulations on your new bag, then!

Like Alaska, you don't see too many designer bags in Maine!

I think everyone has said it beautifully-if you love the bag, who cares who has one or what the fashion snobs have to say about Coach. I LOVE the Coach bags I buy because they just fit so well with my style and personality. I think they are made as well as bags that go for A LOT more money. I see a lot of great bags here in NY. I see just as many LV bags as I do Coach. Most of the LV bags I see are all the same style bag. I see far more variety in Coach and the bag you purchased is not a common bag at all. If you aren't 100% sold on the bag don't sweat it-just return it and find something you love.

I can understand where you're coming from. I know I see a lot of pre-teens carrying Coach (which I have to say disgusts me a little bit because they're getting spoiled awfully young, but then I live in a rich area so I guess it comes with the territory) and I can see where carrying the same kind of bag as a little kid would make you think twice. I do see a lot of Coach everywhere. It's becoming more and more prevalent. I see one just about every day.

That being said, I agree with everyone else, if you love it then carry it. I adore Coach, but tend to be drawn more to the leather bags, than the signature. It's all a matter of personal preference. I think you get the most value for your money with Coach, and that's why so many people carry it. Great style, reasonable prices (mostly) and awesome construction. And pretty much all of their bags are under a thousand dollars. Coach rocks.

I live in Scottsdale, AZ, lots of snootiness here. I was in Target tonight and counted 19, just that I saw...mostly Sig. stuff. I see tons of LV as well.....but I get so sick of the brown....and although I only have one, the Babylon, I still haven't recovered from sticker shock. How many brown LV bags does one really need? Luggage, different story, I need all of that..................but maybe I would fee differently if I got a piece.

Bottom line, I shouldn't be buying any bags!!! But, it's better than crack or something.

Its something that you expect when you buy a Coach purse. Almost all Coach products are inexpensive, but it still has the classic look and has the luxury feel. Don't be surprised to see people walking around with Coach bags all the time. If you are that worried about it, I would return it. Though, you aren't going to find something as nice looking for the amount you paid at Coach.

Coach bags are considered expensive in my country but of course not as expensive as lv. then again i don't mind seeing so many people carrying this brand cos i think they've got good taste! In fact , my frens always ask about the coach bags which i carry and they will always end up buying the same model as what i have. i don't mind it a bit.

AMEN. LOL

Funny thing is.. Even though I have Coach, LV, Fendi, etc. I get the most compliments when I carry my pink and blue print satin purse with bamboo handles - that I got from Wal-mart a few years ago for $10. :graucho: Seriously though, I stopped worrying about what people think after high school.

If you love it - wear it! If you don't - take it back and get what you love.

Coach still is rare where I live. To me, it makes more sense spending a couple hundred on a durable, well made purse, then say a thousand on an LV that everyone will think is fake anyway. I can't justify spending that kind of money on a purse.

I used to not be able to justify spending over a thousand dollars on a purse. *le sigh* I remember fondly that time when I thought people who bought Coach were even insane. Then I joined this forum. The good ol' days are gone my friends. *LOL* Since joining I've bought tons of Coach, and one Chanel (ouch) and one Fendi Spy (also ouch). Thankfully though, my finances don't allow me to splurge on the more expensive bags that often. Otherwise I'd be living in a box like I was on crack, but without the happy obliviousness to go along with it. *LOL* (no offense intended to anyone who has friends or relatives who might be on drugs. Just thought I'd add that disclaimer.)
