NYC Hermes Sample Sale at Soiffer Haskin

I went yesterday (Wed) late afternoon, having read FashionistaO's tempting scarf list in this thread. They indeed had the "turtle scarf" in the colorway I had been seeking! Then, of course, I was further tempted by the reds 
My haul:
De Madras a Zakynthos (marron/blanc/chocolat)
Brazil (rouge vif/violet/multicolore)
Les Pivoines pochette (vert vif/rouge/framboise) -- my first pochette! How cute is this one??? I'm posting an extra detail shot. Like a Chinese flower painting! Love peonies.
Beauties I sadly left at the table: Pierre Loti in "soleil" yellow (had never seen this scarf design before, absolutely fabulous), Reve de Gloria in "vieux rose" (not usually a pink person, but this was so flattering!), La Rosee in orange ("need" an orange scarf, but my cc was putting her foot down...), Ancien Cachemire pochette, red, orange and blue Globetrotters, etc., etc, etc.
Very crowded even at 5pm, but it was silk heaven.

Good luck tomorrow, H-Nuttynut; keeping fingers crossed. As of Wed evening, they had several "turtles" left, and it didn't look like a bestseller. I spent about an hour there, and saw no one else picking it up. And by the way, this was the only colorway they had. (I would've loved to see the green one, too.)

ducked out of work to go tonight (thurs) @ ~5:30... still lots of ppl! long line for the coat/bag check (you are allowed only your wallet + phone)

I had a very disappointing time at the sale last night. I left work early (I work on Long Island) and got to the sale at about 7, as I thought it was going until 8 last night. Just as I got there, sale personnel came out and said they would not be letting anyone else in, as the sale was ending at 7 that night. Sure enough, an "hours" sign on the door said it ended at 7 on Thursday. There are also no hours on Sunday. The man said there had been a lot of incorrect ads floating around regarding times. Not sure if I am going to head back there Saturday morning...

Went again around 1pm today. No line except for the coat check. Nothing much left except for Aux Portes du Palais, Aux Pays Des Espice, and a reindeer print in red. They bought out some new silks with leather fringes on the ends in a few different colors but thats about it.
