I would also look at the large BV woven hobo. Try the ball bag on first, it looks good if you are very slim in the trunk (it adds some bulk to the middle). If the BV is the right "shape" for you, then the BV. It is a classic bag that you can use for a very, very long time. While I love b-bags, the white is likely to wear fast.

You've been going on bag overload! Can you return one of the b-bags that are on their way to you? I'd recommend returning one of them so that you can get the BV ball bag. OR if you're going to get it in chocolate brown--how about waiting until the fall. You're probably less likely to use it during the spring...

wickedassin you're so practical i love you. Well my 2 balenciaga bags are in transfer from another store location so yes i can get my money back as i haven't even seen them yet.
this is a long long story.... about a month ago the bag i wanted was the BV then i started looking at other bags from gucci to LV to chanel. That was when i got a sensory overload and bought a fendi spy and a Chanel tote and ordered 2 balenciagas. Now i'm trying to stop and just end, by buying the bag i originally wanted which is the BV. The forum has definately helped me make many decisions and i want all your girls input. If indeed the Balenciagas are and will get dirty and hard to clean then the BV it is. It was always my first choice anyways.....
wickedassin you made a good point regarding the chocolate color of the BV aswell, it will be summer soon so i don't know if chocolate is too rich..... i think brown is brown just like black its a year round color. thank you girls for all you opinon i really appreciate it don't know what i would do with out ya'll

I say go with BV, especially since it was your original choice. As far as the Balenciaga - just get one if any.

EXACTLY. There's something about finally getting that purse you ALWAYS wanted. And the chocolate is beautiful. I was trying to reduce your NUMBER of purses... So if you get the BV and NOT the two b-bags since those were just "distractions," my mission is complete!:p

bottega, bottega, bottega. the bag is classic, you can wear it for the next 50 years, it goes with everything, and it'll be easy to maintain. .

I'm just wondering, is the BV really that easy to maintain? not in terms of color, but i'm just wondering if after some time, the sides of each woven leather will start to fray off through usage.. you know, the joints when they are woven together.... hope you know what i mean... :worried:

I would definitely get the BV. I would probably sell my left calf for that BV in white. The B-bag is great, but if you already have one, it may be overkill (This is sooooo the pot calling the kettle black...)

I think the BV is more timeless too. The B-bag has so many forgeries to count, not to mention the "designer-inspired" lines. You will probably get more use for longer out of it.

They're both such beautiful bags though... I'm terrible about picking one so I usually end up getting too many. :shame:

I don't know either brand, but from a designer's point of view, I definitely think the Balenciaga is a much more beautiful bag. (don't know about getting it in white though). The BV bag from a design standpoint just looks boring and unpractical (I have trouble getting things in and out of hobo-shaped bags like that). But if you're looking for a classic, the BV will probably stand the test of time, while the B-bag is more trendy.
