BL: My red medium was delivered to work over the weekend and I just opened it. It reeks! I have my white tote with me too and I can't smell it at all. I would give it a few more days to air out.

My bag only smells when I stick my nose up to it.....to me, it just smells like leather. I think it will fade after use. I've used mine and I don't notice the smell when I'm out and about.

Is probably the dye used for the red bags. I'm sure this is not the case but when I walk through a clothing section of a cheaper store or even the junior section in Dillards, the cheap dyes really bother me and I can't take it very long and I really don't have that good of a sence of smell (remember I work with really smelly animals and they don't bother me that much outside). Does anyone know if they use any type of a powdered blood to get it so red and that is where the strong smell is coming from? I know I got a pair of sandles from Harolds and after wearing them for a while noticed that the dye smelled really bad on them so I quite wearing them. They never lost the smell.

Thanks Everyone! I decided to return it. I had it in my car, in double boxes today and when I got back to it, my whole car stank! It actually made me feel sick. Even where I touch it, I can smell it on my hands if I don't immediately wash it.

Now if only I can solve my paddy problem, I'd be happy again! :weird:

Can someone please tell me what to do? White or Red Gaucho? Medium or Double (am leaning towards the double)? I used to HATE them and now I decided that I NEED one, after already buying the Fendi Spy Hobo in a beautiful white. Help!!!
