Not a true Coachie.... funny story

This was just a small incident that happened today that I thought was funny. I have a part-time job at an upscale Cosmetic store to supplement my income for my handbag and cosmetic addiction (working for the gov't doesn't leave much $$$ for spending on these addictions!) A customer came in wearing a Cinnamon Maggie. While ringing her up I told her that I loved her Maggie. She then states to me, "Oh no, this bag is a COACH" and stresses the word Coach to me like I was an idiot. And I said "no, I meant the style. I love the Maggie's...I own two myself." And again she says, "This bag is a Coach bag, not a Maggie-brand bag!" And again, stresses the word "Coach". Right as I am thinking, "yeah, this lady is not a TPF member" she pulls out her "FOACH" wallet! I just thought it was a silly little incident. She was so proud to mention she owned a Coach, but she didn't seem to realize that she has one that it so rare. And then she was carrying fake accessories. And was rude. Sorry, she just made me giggle in the inside.....

That is way funny and pretty sad for her... She purchased a great bag and does not know a thing about her.

ok.. actually, kinda true about the coach-viewed by people.. even by my own mother.. when i gave her the red ergo hobo, she was like, "this is coach? where are the C" and was inspecting everywhere for the word COACH, and then she got my dad to inspect the bag for her too.. oh thank god for the hang-tag! pheww..
it's like for her, COACH must come with huge C prints! bwhahaha

Yeah, I went shopping with my mom at a Coach outlet, and she almost wouldn't let me look at anything leather. She kept saying, "But the C's just say 'I'm carrying a Coach!'" haha-She doesn't get that I just like pretty purses, it doesn't have to scream, "I'm carrying an expensive brand!" lol.
I actually perfer more coach bags without the C's
Oh don't get me wrong, I definitely loooove the C's! I just think it's cute how she tries steering me toward them.
Funny! I had this happen recently too at Winner's when I complimented a girl on her Sabrina... "my what?" I quickly learned not every Coach owner is a Coachie
Sorry to be a little bit off topic, but I've actually seen Coach purses at Winners - have you ever seen them there? I was shocked, I had no idea Winners could get Coach! The prices are better at the outlets though.
oh and then when my dad said the coach is gorgeous too, i told him, this is sabrina and he said "oh this is not coach?" i quickly said coach because i don't want to start the conversation about the names of the styles then.. this will drive them nuts! hahaha
I think it's weird how some people think that coach is a super-expensive top designer bag. I totally love coach, but knowing there are LV's Pradas Chanels that you can't get for a "coach purse price", Coach looks like an affordable purse to me- nothing more... It has almost become "an everyday thing" to wear coach, and I don't see why friends and family think that it's crazy to love coach bkz they're "sooo expensive"... when compared to other designer bags- its actually quite manageable to afford a coach bag nowdays. So they look at me like I'm insane for spending a couple of hundreds on a bag, and I look at them like they're insane for thinking this is a big amount of money for a purse... (bkz I compare to higher brands, I'm not saying it isn't- at this time I can't buy a lot due to some financial things, but it's still easyer to safe up for a coach bag- especially at the outlets- than a Prada etc...) Hope this makes sence
