Same question… it looks thick but I know sometimes it’s like a “faux” platform where your foot goes down a bit more than the platform implies.
Just yesterday I was wearing platform shoes (not huge ones) out for lunch with a friend and did a spectacular sprawl onto the sidewalk. I wrecked my knee but it was also pretty funny (I feel like adults eating it in public is always funny assuming no severe injuries). I live in Napa and I was literally a minute before telling my visiting friend that everyone downtown is drunk on saturdays. Drunk happy people everywhere even at noon. And then I face planted sober… at least nobody around me thought much of it.
Which ones? I purchased the shearling Birkenstocks in store and didn’t bother to try them on because I already own several pairs. When I got home and tried them on they seemed small. I even put them next to another pair of the same size and they were a bit shorter. Today I went and tried on the next size up and they fit better so I exchanged.
Are you getting both the Bomber and Moto? I think you should 🤣
The jackets look great on you! I purchased the bomber but am on the fence because I feel like it is a bit too cropped for me. I’m stalking the moto for a size 12 😬

I think the Bomber jacket needs to be with high rise pants for sure which is what I had on in the pic. I’m glad it wasn’t more cropped on me when I tried it on because I usually have to be careful with cropped items too.

I realized that I have a bomber in my Poshmark pile… super similar and super nice. Maybe I’ll buy it from myself and rediscover it. That math works out to a profit right?

Honestly, if you all sign up on the Birkenstock website, they always have sale so if you know your size, I would just wait and order it from there. I’ve gotten some of those Sherling ones for 60 bucks or less.
I ordered the Moto! It was also in stock (3 of them supposedly) in store at Corte Madera but there’s randomly traffic (shocker for the Bay Area) and I don’t want to drive over an hour.Ok I have an idea! I’m terrible so maybe you shouldn’t listen to me.

I’ll take a pic of my bomber that I already have so that you can contonue to coach me. It has a soft grey jersey lining which is so rare in leather jackets (ie, not the slippery kind), so that is a plus.
Can’t wait to see the one you have. I have a Caslon bomber from a few years ago and I think it has a removable cloth lining/hoodie that I had to have and I’ve never worn it 🙈🙊
I was trying to explain to my son how amazing the cool & creamy strawberry butter is with the warm popover. It’s exquisite.
You all influenced me to get the Caslon cardigan with the gold buttons in navy. I had to order an XS in that and the pink sweater. I bought the black version of the pink sweater while I was there. I also decided I wanted that navy & light blue Zella colorblock sports bra, but the XS was hard to get off & they didn’t have a small. It’s sold out online.
I got another scratcher and won another $5.
My order says it’s being delivered today.
Ok first of all, has aquatalia always been this fantastic? I didnt expect to love this boot too but I do. AND the mansur gavriel flats fit me perfectly AND the color is to die for. Amazing. They feel like squishy, soft leather gloves but for my feet.
What was not a win was the Eileen Fisher wide leg pants (i was sure theyd be winners!!!) and the boucle hoodie cardigan. The pants just didnt make me feel great when I put them on. I felt “meh”, and the boucle cardigan omg it is SO ITCHY!!! I am not a sensitive skin person, I can do natural animal fibers all day long but this piece is horribly uncomfortable on my skin. I took a picture tho of the texture cuz at least that looked nice.
Also, this is the second time this has happened where I received a package from Nordstrom (well, Lasership) that REEKS of weed, like the clothing and boxes within the box also reek of weed. I am fine with the smell if I notice it in public, but not when it arrives unwelcome on my new clothing and shoes and stinks up my house. Gross.
