I use a Costco card too - just fyi you can just cash that check at the cashier stand and deposit in bank - you don’t have to spend it at Costco!

Ok I am back from my store - I was in and out within 30 mins.
Honestly that was super disappointing but it's only because I compare to last year. There was coffee and the same reusable bottles of water we got last year. No snacks. No one was at the door to check us in or greet us, it was like walking into an empty department store at closing time. So I just decided to go straight to what I wanted to buy, collected my stuff, an employee approached me and offered a scratch card so that was nice. When I checked out, that is when I was handed a $10 e-bar and $15 beauty card. I went straight to the e-bar and got myself my favorite breakfast sandwich and a cookie, ended up paying 7 cents out of pocket so that was nice at least!!
I feel like it's worth it for the monetary gifts - but that being said I would not have gone out of my way to drive 30 minutes for this. I'm lucky I work close by, otherwise it would've been a pass.

Thank you! I was debating on driving 90 minutes to the store. Instead I ordered some items for pickup (will do that Saturday) and some online (store didn't have). Only one item I wanted, and actually needed, the Ralph Lauren Diamond Quilted Barn Jacket, was sold out.

Yes! We usually just cash it out. I will say the customer service at Costco has taken a dive. I feel less and less like giving them money. At my store, the employees give off an entitled, I work here, I really don’t care if you need help vibe. Ugh.
I wanted to see the Frye Kate boot in merlot in person, and yesterday it was in stock at my store, so I thought I could look at it today. But of course now it’s sold out in the merlot color. Boo!
Costco requires that you purchase at least on item - I usually buy the bananas and then the rest of the cash is refunded to me!
Oh maaaannnn!!!!! I was given a temporary Visa card number and exp date in the store when I upgraded yesterday. I tried to order a couple of additional things last night. I have no security pin and they won’t tell me over the phone. They’ll only give it to me in store once I’ve been identified by an SA. My husband was laughing at me and was probably secretly pleased I can’t spend any money until I drive out at some point.

There was some confusion yesterday when I was at the store about extra points. The first associate I worked with said I was getting 3xs points for the sale, but the next associate I was working with said she hadn’t heard that. She checked with her manager and that person said no extra points. So I used a double points day. Glad she confirmed so that I did shop all day assuming I was getting extra points when I wasn’t!View attachment 6199453

If I still have a double points day at the end of the year, I go through my purchases and have them retroactively apply it to one of the days. Never had an issue doing that in case you need to have them apply one after the fact.

I just returned from my local Nordstrom, where I explored the contemporary section with a focus on Vince, as I find their products look better in person. I ended up purchasing three Vince items. I'm glad I tried the skirts in person, as the online photos don't do them justice.

If you’re buying beauty items, a lot of them are three points.
Not if you go directly to the cashier stand beyond the registers- I have never bought an item from my refund check and they just go write a check for me- they can’t give me cash because it is too large- usually over $2k given we buy literally everything on it, but have not had to buy anything with it to cash it out. This is the Visa cash back one. This may be different than the other certificate they issue which is like only a couple hundred dollars which may require a purchase. I forget what that one is called. That’s what I have seen at my Costco anyway.
