Oh forgot to also add - I noticed these black wide leg pants from EF and funny enough, I paid them no attention yesterday but today I stopped to take a look and realized they are perfect! Well, perfect for me lol I just recently bought some black wide leg flowy casual pants from EF but they are a bit too cropped, but these ones are actually really long! They didnt have my size small but I held the size medium up to my body and they went to the floor, which is a rarity for me (33 inch inseam), so I will grab em online and return the other EF ones I got.

For anyone who's considering the Pistola Sylvie Sweater, you may want to check out Nordstrom Rack... I happened to be browsing the Rack for some toddler shoes and came across the seemingly identical Pistola Jadine Sweater for a noticeably lower price (after purchasing the darn Anniversary Sale version last night!). Even the photos look to be identical, just a teeny tiny bit different in coloring!

Nordstrom emailed me a survey about the Icon shopping event. I filled it out and didn’t hold back my disappointment of how un-special my store was and how the difference in gifts and set up among the stores were frustrating (I really want that garment bag). What I found interesting was the second question in my screenshot below. I guess we will wait to see if that comes in August:

I reached out to customer service and asked why one is priced $40 more, since my order from last night shipped out already, and the agent was surprised, to say the least. She admitted "Wow, those sure look identical to me despite their different item numbers". TBD on if they do anything about it!

Update: The agent said that because the colors and item number are different, there's nothing that can be done other than ordering it from the Rack and returning the Anniversary Sale one. So if you're considering this sweater... it's even cheaper on the Pistola site here 😜

Oh jeez... I feel like this isnt very surprising. I dont like it, I wish Nordstrom would actually have brand new, exclusive to Nordstrom items for the anniversary sale, otherwise it feels a bit scammy? I mean in all honesty, the anniversary sale isn't THAT great of a sale, it really only is for specific items that rarely or never go on sale, or for items you cant get anywhere else, otherwise most items can be found elsewhere for cheaper or they end up going on a deeper sale anyways. I have fun with the sale but try to remember this when I'm tempted to go on a huge shopping spree lol.

Honestly, I’ve seen so many anniversary sale items over the past years that are just repeats of items that had gone on sale six months earlier. I’d always do some type of image search to see if you can get the same item cheaper.
 
I just put my purchases into a spreadsheet to see how much I spent and noticed that they charged me full price for the SM mules, even though it was like 8:15 in the morning during the Ambassador Event.

The lady checking me out didn’t realize that 1) it was an ambassador event and we were all checked in and approved at the door to shop and 2) that the store wasn’t open to the public yet. When she started checking me out, she went into her rehearsed script of “So we can only check these out to people who have status to shop today (with the tone that I wasn’t that).” Then I explained we were all checked in at the door and that I qualified, but I just realized when I got home that it rang up full price. It was the only thing I bought that did. So check your stuff.

I tried to call customer service and they said they can’t fix the price? Why not just do an adjustment? She transferred me to the store, who transferred me to customer service, who didn’t answer the phone.

Ughhh Im so sorry... I remember this happening to me last year or the year before. It was during early access and items werent ringing up the sale price. I didnt realize until I left, then I went back a bit later in the day and it was a whole ordeal to get my refund. I also tried to do it over the phone, was told I had to go in store, then in store no one seemed to know how to fix it because some items were ordered for delivery to my house, but were rung up in store, so they couldnt just refund then recharge me since they could not stop the delivery orders?? Something like that. Youd think they would get that solved by now.

This has happened every year and it is so busy that I think that they don’t check. Tomorrow I’m going to make sure before I leave no matter how rushed I am to make sure that I’m getting charged the anniversary price.
