Went to a bigger Nordstrom today and the Nordstrom gods were on my side cause they had the brown suede gazelles in my 1/2 size down and also 1 size down. Decided to go 1/2 size down for a little more room. Also scored the Varley Acadia half zip in olive in a small. I’m a medium and it fit well..probably could only wear a tank under though. Lastly bought this sweater in the grey and camel taupe. It’s soo soft and not itchy. I bought a medium and an x-small respectively. It runs big IMO. The x-small fits like a small. Medium fits like a large. I still like how they both look on me!

I have 8 items spread into 2 different orders made in the first hour of Influencer access(so made between 11PM and midnight CDT) that are in the dreaded preparing to ship status. Out of the 8, only 2 show still in stock, the rest are sold out. So I sit here and hope I get what I ordered and not cancellation emails. Some of the stuff that has shipped surprised me. I actually got the coal colored Barefoot Dreams cardie in plus size(it sold out across all sizes before it shipped). I got all of my beauty items shipped including the tangle teaser set(sold out now). I'm hopeful for the rest though.

Over all this sale has been disappointing. I remember the days when we had high end designer stuff, like Burberry scarves and really good handbags. I miss that.

The remainder of my early Wednesday morning items have shipped. Not sure which to be more surprised about - no cancellations or all in one box.

I expected a couple of cancellations and everything ship in its own box

Aside from not being able to expedite shipping, I found my experience this year to be much easier than previous years. No cancellations this time and everything on my must-have list was available.

I went back and splurged on a pair of Bony Levy diamond hoop earrings. Hoping they’re nice enough to keep.

Seems I wanted/needed/was tempted by less than previous years so I think I’m officially done!

Those earrings are gorg! I was hoping the Scottsdale store would have some of these in stock when I was there on Thursday morning, but 1720907264618.pngthere weren't any--so I "settled" on a MV pair :).

I mean, I knew some of the stuff they talked about but the way they compared clothes from 20 years ago was crazy.
I didn't realize that either. I was also very disturbed by the cotton industry in China and the use of slave labor, thinking the worst of it was sweatshop usage. Which is insanely bad.

I try to recycle as much as I can, I have a couple of bags of items to send to Trashie now, that company that recycles clothing items, as much as they can but really it isn't enough, especially now knowing you can see piles of clothes from space.

That is good to know about that service.
