The mother jeans I thought would cancel actually shipped, wow, I'm surprised with my luck this year. Did anyone buy this pair? I think I saw someone in here did... How is sizing? I did briefly see the reviews on the nordstrom site with some people saying they were stretchy and ran a bit big, and I ordered a size 29 in hopes that would work (I did try some random Mother styles in a 29 in person and could not pull them up over my thighs... So im risking it here. Ignore the screenshot saying size 30, that's what I saved but ended up sizing down).

I sized down one size on these mother jeans and they were fine. Originally had the 30 but the 29 fit best.

Silly me… I didn’t think I wanted this when it was available and now I’ve decided that I do want it! My pop back order was canceled and I’m wondering if it’s worth chasing. Any feedback about it would be greatly appreciated

We are totally in the phase of the sale when the "maybes" become wants and the hunt for pop backs/shipping confirmations is on. Sending good luck your way! You'll score the next one (assuming it's still what you want after a little feedback).

I'm surprised how long shipping is taking. I ordered two pairs of Blondo boots on the morning of 7/12 (non-expedited, but they couldn't have been expedited even if I had paid). They're still in transit, and now delayed with no estimated arrival date. I wasn't expecting the order to take so long, and I would not have placed it with summer travel schedules (no rush for boots in the summer!). My local store is small and has a limited selection of anniversary items, but I may have to limit myself to in-store shopping during the anni sale next year. I hope the boots are keepers when they finally arrive.
If there's an option to sign up for email alerts on the tracking link, try that! Sometimes it'll help get things moving again.

I bought the AG Mari in 8 Years Brooklyn (dark blue) and in night owl (black) in my usual size 26 and am returning both. The fabric for the Brooklyn feels too stiff. I found the fit to also be a touch tighter than my other Mari jeans (but not so much that I would size up). Washing the jeans may soften them but I don’t want to take my chances. The night owl is a touch stiff as well but not as bad, but the reviews about the color transfer scare me.

Saks has a coupon code on its site right so I used that to buy two pairs of AG Mari instead. I would rather pay a bit more knowing that they are made of the same materials and have the fit that I love of Mari jeans.

Perhaps the shoe company is shipping the shoes directly so the statuses are out of sync and you will get a pleasant surprise in the mail? (Hopefully.)

My Bruno Magli Valeria boots shipped directly and for days, there was no status update while the rest of my orders were shipped. Then I was alerted that they shipped in the morning and by that same afternoon, the boots arrived! The vendor shipped it sooner than what was shown by Nordstrom. When I look up tracking on Nordstrom now, it still shows “shipping” with an estimated arrival date that is days from now, instead of delivered.

I forgot about this phase

Kicking myself for not just buying the maybes to begin with. So much easier to return than to have to stalk!

I hand wash a lot of my dry clean only stuff, and they are fine. For blazers, I do dry clean, but I have done spot cleaning (like armpit areas) and then throw them in a dryer with a wet towel to freshen them up in between dry cleaner trips. You can do a search for the fabric and see if it can be hand washed.
I was actually reading about it yesterday. It's 100% viscose and shouldn't even be hand washed. Apparently even rain can be a problem!

Since I returned my beloved Paul Green sneakers I made one final purchase last night. It's for the Shinola Birdie watch. I have been wanting one since they came out. There was only one left last night so it was now or never.
I worked in downtown Detroit for close to 28 years. Thought this would be a great reminder of "time" spent there.

Has anyone attended one of the Bony Levy Trunk shows in the stores? If so, how was it this year? I'm trying to decide if I want to attend the one by me, next Friday.
I attended mine on the 12th and they do have a lot of things, but having said that, they had the same show at another store close by on the 11th and some woman had a melt down because the necklace she wanted had sold out the day before even though there were plenty of similar ones available. I bought some earrings and returned them because when I was looking I saw a pair of mice looking hoops that had a twist to them on sale for $210 from $280 in 14k. Another pair right next to them, same size, same 14k and they had a extra twist so that when in your ear they faced front. The price tag was $895. Me and all the SA’s there said that had to be a mistake and the Bony Levy guy said, no it’s right, the extra $615 was for the extra design twist. The SA’s thought that was ridiculous, I thought it was ridiculous, so it put me off Bony Levy for now.
Their jewelry case had a beautiful pair of Roberto Coin oblong hoops with a cool twist to them in 18k for $570. Not hard to decide where my money is going to go.

I had something shipped that was delayed from the East Coast because of all of the bad weather. So that could be part of the problem with the severe storms slowing things down.

Thank you for sharing. That pricing for an extra twist is ridiculous. Roberto Coin is great quality. Enjoy your new hoops.

Ok heres photos of the longline nordstrom brand vest in a size small, and the Reiss cashmere cardigan in a large! Sorry that the back photo of the cardigan is so dark, the lighting is so bad right now.

Im gonna keep the vest in a small, it buttons up easily and the underarms arent tight with a long sleeve top underneath.

I took photos of the cardigan both open (with a thin turtleneck under) and closed with nothing under. It really doesnt fit that large, just like a looser sweater!

Thank you for sharing photos! Both look great on you. I was just able to grab a Popup of the Reiss cardigan in medium and I was originally hoping for a size small, but based on your sizing advice think the medium will work well. it ships!
