I believe some bloggers have already recieved product, they just aren't allowed to show it yet. One of the bloggers I follow accidentally spilled the beans on that last year. She was traveling during the first day of the presale but was able to post a full try on recorded in her house a few days before she left. Certain brands and Nordstrom (I'm assuming Nordstrom gives them the Nordstrom brand stuff) give them items for free to review and they are also allowed to buy certain other things.

I’ve ordered them a couple times and they smell so bad. Like raw fish skin. It’s really bizarre. I was utterly confused the second time (I had assumed the first time was a fluke)... but then I saw this complaint in many reviews. What would make leather smell this way?! Maybe some sort of treatment or conditioner? Anyways, not okay.

Yikes, that is gross. I like the look of the crossbody cloth ones, but it seems like it could be an item from a fast fashion store for much less. I will probably put it on my list to see if it goes for a deeper discount later.

If you love it, it might be worth ordering. Many people love them and I’m 100% sure that the people loving them are not receiving fish smelling bags

Both the ones I tried were the regular leather that is slightly shiny with the suede colored stripes down the middle. I tried a clutch and a tote. It otherwise seemed high quality, but do know that they are very floppy. Like, if you had the big tote, you couldn’t set it down on the floor. It would collapse into a flat puddle. Not necessarily bad, but I didn’t know this from the pictures.

I agree it’s annoying. Just say “a selection of items will be previewed ahead of time instead of a catalogue” or something. Do companies not learn how much it irritates people when they blatantly mislead people? Ugh.
I found this...the company posted this info. No catalogue this year (i bet because of the pandemic) and preivew is the replacement. https://www.nordstrom.com/browse/an...y Sale/Anniversary Sale Details&origin=topnav

From this page! "This preview experience will replace our print catalog this year."

Very interesting! I know last year some of the higher level customers in Los Angeles and New York got to shop earlier before pre-sale. I bet that's how that blogger pulled that off. I'm really certain Nordstrom's doesn't give social influencers earlier dibs on stuff--you have to be a cardholder to shop early. I bet those influencers are cardholders and the highest level--they likely spend a ton!

You’re right! Maybe they actually never in any way said that everything would be visible early and we just misinterpreted. Lol

For Nike items, it says to add to bag to see the price, but when I try to do this it says I can't add to bag until August 10 :yucky:

Knowing the price would be helpful in deciding whether or not they're wishlist-worthy!

Nike prices are showing now! Bike shorts are 29.90. Joggers are 39.90. The greyish white sneakers w/black swoosh I had wishlisted (Air Pegasus?) are $90, so that was deleted.

I assume the Le Labo candles will sell out, but just noticed the price on the Le Labo website for the exact same candles is the same as what Nordstrom is charging for the sale. Maybe they will be discounted when we can purchase? Just wanted to let y’all know since I know we all watch for good prices!

That is not possible. The sale for the highest level of customers starts (not social media influencers) on August 4 for Icons. Preview is what it says--as chance to look at what is on the sale BEFORE the sale starts. This is so awesome! Emily Gemma just has links to the website for products that are in preview--not seeing any product she's received.
If you follow her on IG, on her stories the other day she said she received items in the mail...she even had photos of some of the items - and they were photos from her house (pictured below). You better believe Nordstrom gives special access to infuencers (and they obviously dont advertise that), it's a huge part of their marketing. They want the product in the influencers hands to advertise to all of us the day the sale starts.89E1CCFE-4C31-4F31-929F-3EBE2AA349C5.jpeg
